I think the hard ultra-woque pivot will actually hurt them, though, at least over time. Banning stuff like "misgendering" or "deadnaming" means that they're being aggressively exclusionary to viewpoints that the vast majority of people hold, which means crippling the growth of their userbase. They've positioned themselves as a wokescold echo chamber with this, which means all the normies will flock to the first decent competitor that crops up. Honestly seems really stupid of them from a business perspective.

Plus this Yaniv shit is getting Streisanded to fuck, and it will blow up in their face PR-wise if the mainstream media ever gets ahold of it.

i'm old enough to remember how fox news was born. you're seeing it now. ppl got fed up w/perceived liberal bias in mainstream media & the market could support an alternative.

i can see an "alt-twitter" coming into being over this stuff in the same way.

it would have few 'language rules' & maybe even advertise itself as 'the wild west' -- the place for ppl who don't want safe space or protection from meanies. Alt-twitter will be libertarian, balls- out twitter. not for sissies. (cissies?)

that could work & like Fox, might actually succeed.

if enough ppl are banned, they won't have anyplace else to go. twitter is *creating* its own market of angry consumers who are just waiting to stick it to the man.

The enough people is the big part. The problem up until now is anyone advertising free speech alternatives has been like that dumbass Andrew Torba at Gab who advertises it in a way that guarantees all you get is a bunch of 1488fags posting in an echo chamber of their own.

Good point. Same applies to voat to a degree. Inspired by Jonathan Yaniv, r/gcers briefly talked about migrating there. People on voat responded with stuff like "good, more bitches to make my sammiches" and "lol shoe is on the other foot, you want free speech come over cunts lol."

There's a difference between being JUST about letting people yell that, and being about where people can archive info such as eight years worth of documents suggesting Jonathan Yaniv has a Skype buddy who looks 9, hit on a girl who said she was 14 and provided a picture, and yet has inspired the SM universe to wipe coverage about him. XX male has the SRY gene and can grow a functioning spurting cock BUT the ejaculate is weak and there are no sperm in it.
