10 Years

I lurked for a really long time before I finally made my account (and even now I still mostly lurk...), so I've ~technically~ been here since 2015. I've thoroughly enjoyed every second of my time here and can legitimately say that being able to browse KF is something I'm genuinely thankful for, and I'm sure many others are as well. Cheers to many more years of autism! :drink:

When I logged into the site today I noticed my IP was briefly checked by KiwiFlare before letting me in. Maybe it's just optimism on my part but it seems like the site is running so much faster than it has in a very long time. This place staying up through all the bullshit has always been an impressive feat, but seeing that was really something.

One thing I really enjoy about this place is all of the strange stuff I learn about. Back when Dobson was active there were, and I think still are, discussions about how the animation industry works. I remember learning about how to properly draw a animation story board because Dobbo fucked his up when he applied to work on Ed, Edd and Eddy. Watching people call out Jack Scalifani and Kay has made me a better cook. Just a few weeks back I learned how to pronounce 'whore' in Arabic (sharmouta) and the status of Syrian refugees in Kuwait thanks to Chantal. Through Ralph I probably know more about revenge porn laws than the vast majority of the United States. Obviously the same goes for how the structure of the internet works.

I look forward hearing more from everyone here, you're all great. Thanks for all the hard work, Null.

Cheers to Null and fellow Kiwi’s for 10 years of being a bulwark against the rising tide of insanity, idiocy and lies. Null keeping this site going in spite of the onslaught against it is proof that one person with determination and an army of autists CAN make a difference.

Here’s to 10 more years!
