Just because it says "No age limit" doesn't mean "No age limit."

It doesn't say anything for or against, so it must be allowed. See also: the Barbara/Riley decision (aka the "q-sand" case).

I found a copy of the contest rules in this blog. There is no age limit, but the Kre-O figurines are going to have his entry disqualified.

As everyone has said, Chris doesn't have a chance. Here are some highlights from the rules to further illustrate that point. (Emphasis added)

The winning models will be judged by the jury upon:
Overall coolness
Inspired design details
Design that people will purchase
A great color scheme
• Buildable using existing LEGO System and LEGO Technic elements
Well thought out functions
The relationship between your age and your design

and

Designs for military vehicles or vehicles featuring weapons will not be eligible for the competition
Designs containing defamatory elements or degrading elements will not be eligible for the competition (Would putting Megan in detention count?)
• Copies of/or design infringements relating to any existing third party property or any other intellectual property right will not be eligible for the competition
Use of any building toy parts not produced by the LEGO Group will result in your design being disqualified
• Entry photos should show your model design only, and should not show recognizable features of any person or any commercial product

Re: FB 11/7/13: Chris wants Lego to notice him.

he literally fails at everything according to that list.

Rules dont apply to Chris because he is speshul

Dear Sir/Madam,
LOOK, I do not have the appropriate calm state of mind to make time to READ those numerous upon numerous small-print details, much less memorize them. I have had a LOT of SLANDEROUS TWISTS OF MY OWN WORDS done unto me in the past SOO MUCH, it is HARDEST for me to get a job in a place that does background checks, only to find that cursed E.D. CWCki Page those EVIL TROLLS created against me at the TOP of the list.
I started my OWN Wikipedia page Lego High School of fail to hopefully counter that and better the people's General Understand of the Noble Gentleman I truly am. I SPENT HOURS, recalling MEMORY after MEMORY to type up the HONEST-TO-GOD TRUTH playing with children's construction blocks.
I DO NOT CARE about the erroneous listings or false information listed on other pages; I ONLY WISH TO TELL THE TRUTH AND SPREAD IT ON THE INTERNET.
Plus, I have Vanessa Anne Hudgens as an honest, very close Gal-Pal, and you know very well how powerful she is as a STAR.
I have created a video on YouTube respectfully asking to leave my Wikipedia Lego High School of fail ALONE with MY HONEST TRUTH from MY OWN High-Functioning Autistic Head; my LOYAL FANBASE will be sending you letters.
UNDO YOUR DELETION, PLEASE.

Re: FB 11/7/13: Chris wants Lego to notice him.

The sets that he mentioned - Olivia's House, the Summer Riding Camp..... they're all designed for young / first time builders. Chris has been playing with Lego for years. It just goes to show you, that just like his "art" he's not willing to put n even a minimal effort to improve at anything.

From what I've read, the average time it takes to build Olivia's House is about one hour. The Summer Riding Camp, which is a smaller set, takes around 30 - 40 minutes on average. Perhaps it wasn't the best idea for Chris to mention that it took him over 30 hours to build that monstrosity. Something tells me that Lego will be less than impressed.

Re: FB 11/7/13: Chris wants Lego to notice him.

30 hours to build a box that falls apart.

Re: FB 11/7/13: Chris wants Lego to notice him.

I want to build THESE! Maybe I should enter. :)

Then again, I'd like to see someone build an actual replica of MHS. Chris would go ballistic.

Re: FB 11/7/13: Chris wants Lego to notice him.

maybe we should have entries in the legos contest...

Re: FB 11/7/13: Chris wants Lego to notice him.

I'm sure that my six-foot tall Lego pickle will snag first place! :pickle:

Somebody needs to build a Lego Gameplace. It would be even better if it won! :D

Lego Mimms,Lucas and SNyder could be decorating a tree in the store. While Megan kisses her friend Christopher under sole Lego-mistletoe.

It would be ridiculously easy.

Re: FB 11/7/13: Chris wants Lego to notice him.

Spending 30 stress filled hours building that eyesore.
Having to making a video where he had to talk for 11 minutes.
Carrying that thing to the mcdonalds and back to the car.
This is probably the most work Chris has done ever since he gave up on Sonichu. so I can predict that Chris won't take being rejected very lightly.

Actually the Riding Camp and Olivia's House are both from the Friends series. It's a line aimed at girls, that requires less building than the regular LEGO sets, but which features more realistic characters/interiors.

(I believe this might be a rules violation, since I'm not sure, if they're considered to be part of the "LEGO System" mentioned in the rules)

The actual creativity involved from Chris is close zero. It's pretty obvious that he just copied interiors from the other sets, and constructed the school in exactly the same way that any two story LEGO house is put together.
(I believe he also had some LEGO Creator house sets at home. I seem to remember him showing another LEGO house off in some picture.)

The contest runs from "October to December," so... the end of next month?

Re: FB 11/7/13: Chris wants Lego to notice him.

I think you'd have to finish and post it within this month in order to be judged in the same bracket as Chris, though? Or at least that's the impression I get from looking at the "past winners" page. They have a winner for each month, but each theme spans two months.
