Possibly, but because its a very specific bug its possible he could be looking at a 1-4 week period of no YouTube channel.

If it was a widely experienced bug then YouTube might give a shit, but when its just 1-2 users they're notoriously hard to get hold of.

Put it this way: unless YouTube's Twitter account actually helps him (which is possible) then he has to reach an actual human at YouTube which can be extraordinarily difficult.

Hmmmm could this bug eventually lead YT/Google down the path to uncovering his illgotten Adsense account as they try to restore his channel? Is that even in the realm of being a possibility?

Anytime your account gets "special" attention its possible they can flag it for further review or just straight up ban it.

Having said that, its extremely unlikely. Whatever shit DSP used to make adsense work again is probably "legit" as far as Google is concerned.
Also the staff who resolve YouTube technical issues are unlikely to know/care about what can/can't get an Adsense account banned because they're different departments (Google has many thousands of employees)

Doesn't mean its impossible, just very unlikely, especially since as far as we know he can access his account completely fine and his adsense contract is still intact.

That kind of error page only shows up if the content creator does it themselves. (I know a few channels that DFE or set to private and this is what shows up)

If it was taken down by YouTube or flagged for content, it would look similar to this. (something with a red bar at top explaining what happened)

  1. Youtube glitch
  2. Phil and Kat got into a fight and she did this
  3. The hacker known as 4chan
His account is still active as well, so highly doubt he got flagged or banned as that would have been mentioned in the red area.
