2018-07-20 Curse Drops DSPGaming - It just doesn't make (Ad)Sense...

How long will it take for this to get fixed with no work from DSP?

it was my understanding that he will have to turn off the option to play ads manually.... they will play, but he's still ass out.
Maybe the ads still playing are from content ID videos. The people who claim those videos still put ads on them and with Phil playing a bunch of Silent Hill lately, Konami has probably put content id claims all over those videos. Also from experience, Konami will wait the full 30 days before releasing the videos.

I know this is an :autism: thing to obsess over, but I don't know why I see people thinking Kat makes around 30 to 45k a year. Wasn't it discovered she works in retail?

Let's be generous and give her $13 an hour. Unless she's management, associates rarely get full time hours the most they usually get is 30. So let's say she gets that every week.

$13*30=390
$390*52=$20,280

She most likely makes that and I'm being generous with the hours. That's barely enough to get by even with a roommate that makes around roughly the same.

I think we can all agree the only reason anyone would be with Phil is if they cannot take care of themselves. And we pretty much know this woman cannot take care of herself.

According the Dave, YouTube monies were 'icing on the cake he could use to pay his taxes or something'.
Additionally, he is still taking Saturday off 'to be with his girl'.

I hate to jinx it but could this be the beginning of the end? Maybe.

Here's the thing about Philip, and this really disgusts me. He could sell the condo in Washington or rent it out, move back to Connecticut and he would be fine with the 4-8K a month he gets from Twitch autists.

The Soulmaid will dump his ass. It's just a matter of when. So don't count on her paycheck suddenly filling the void left behind by YT. But with just Twitch and Patreon cash I don't see how he can keep that condo in Washington.

here's the thing
it's been the end.. for a long looooooooong time
and the longer he draws out the end, the worse the ending will finally be

he can either get a job, socialize, and turn streaming into a hobby
wherein he will improve on pretty much every way and love video games again (if he ever did)

or he can spend the rest of his short life fattening up, boozing up, and feeling sad while wandering aimlessly in his house every night.

don't be surprised in 10 years or so phil is streaming from a bed, in horrid shape and having a heart attack live on air.

Phil will continue to scrap by, shredding every ounce of pride and self-respect he has for the sake of maintaining his "legacy". There's no point going "20__ is the year DSP dies". I say let him continue to eek out a life. Let him continue to beg and whine until even his most loyal paypigs get tired of it an leave because they realize it's a never-ending crisis. Every year that he insists on struggling with his dead legacy is just another nail in the long-term coffin.

He never lost Youtube before (aside from very brief periods this time seems to be permanent). That's the big thing. Not unless he's lying about his finances I don't see him holding onto that Washington condo for that much longer.

Phil's not playing the Vice City soundtrack so it seems like he still plans on getting his pennies.

If he does somehow monetise KOGaming would that be in violation of having his AdSense banned?

Would the next step punishment from Youtube be deleting his channels for trying to get around the ban?

Man, the writers have really killed it this season. Just last night I was thinking of taking a break from the DSP cinematic universe for a bit because things had become so goddamn stagnant and boring, and then they drop this, which I’m hoping will be the start of a truly cathartic arc. That’s the genius of this show: just when things are getting dull and you’re starting to feel nauseous from watching Phil get away with his repulsive, childish behavior, he gets absolutely bodied by life and once again you can’t look away.

No, plenty of YouTubers have a second channel because their primary one got banned. It's seriously a common problem even 7/8 years ago before the adpocolypse.

If it's a genuine mistake then it will get reinstated. But if it's because someone clickbombed him, it's fucking notoriously difficult to reinstate AdSense. In fact I've never heard a success story of clickbombing although I bet they exist.

The only protection against this is monitoring your analytics like a fucking hawk and reporting it to YouTube before you get banned. And when I say like a fucking hawk, it can go from the start of a clickbomb to a ban in a matter of hours. And I've seen people with atleast 10x as many views as Phil get clickbombed through AdSense, so YouTube is hardly going to go out of their way to accommodate someone with a couple thousand views each video.

But Phil had an adsense banned like 8 years ago for telling people to click on ads. And you're not allowed to have more than one adsense account. Is it not possible that Google/Youtube finally went "heeeeeeey, wait a minute, this is going to the exact same place!"?

I know a bunch of weens from the SOK were spamming youtube support trying to get Phil banned over the whole multiple adsense account thing last year so it's not like they didn't know until now.

Is this on the same channel he recently got banned from or another?

And looking into it, Google have said you can't have 2 concurrent AdSense accounts running at one time:
https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/9729?hl=en-GB

If you don't have AdSense, you aren't maintaining it. Therefore you can maintain another one.

Honestly YouTube is a fucking ballache to deal with when I had to do it, and everything is so vaguely worded because of shit like this. They don't want to deal with fraud clicks so they give leverage over making a new channel.

I think he's been lying about how much he makes on youtube. That is why he's freaking out. It's not insane numbers but I bet it is higher than we think. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't he already played Vice City twice on YT?
