How long will it take for this to get fixed with no work from DSP?

I'm being quite serious in saying that Phil would probably make an excellent car salesman. However, his crippling fear of people and the public will stop him. Hell just like washed up 2nd string athletes he could leverage his legacy.

Come down to Phil Burnell motors! Phil is a former pro fighting game player and was the number 1 ranked American super street fighter 2 turbo player of 2004. We're chopping down prices! *Insert shot of Phil beating up an old Subaru ala street fighter bonus stage*

most job's background checks do not involve online persona's tbh unless he is applying for jobs that involve heavy online interaction. An accountant job at H&R block or any type of business job in the realms of Hospitals or simple tax work do not usually trigger heavy investigation into online accounts. Even stepping away from that, he could apply to be an office billing accountant for any small business or labor business i.e. Construction, Materials and Waste Management etc. Where they give zero fucks what the internet actually says about you as long as you do the bills and payroll every week. He knows this(at least I am assuming he knows this) but the reality of him having to go associate with society again and actually have a boss over him to kick his lazy, lying, narcissistic ass into gear is probably what prevents him from taking the necessary steps. That and his paypigs.

EDIT: I was reminded that HR, PR, and personal assistant related jobs also look into your personal lives besides social media jobs

Get him out trouble whenever copyright strikes occur without him having to do anything. Machinima had to do this like 5 times and always came through; Phil naturally said they never helped him with anything. I can't remember but it's possible Curse had to help him a couple times as well. He didn't need them, though!

I just realized: we still get all the Shitting-On-Curse rants that'll be coming up  There's even a bonus to this non-sense

What I think ends up happening is Phil goes full on greasy sleazebag, gets Kat to create an AdSense account (I just checked Kat's videos - no ads, so she most likely never had one) that he attaches to DSPgaming, takes all the money for himself, and then pretends he got it fixed legitimately.

If this happened, I don't think Phil would be up front about it. It's an especially weasel-like move that would get him in more trouble. It could happen, but I don't think we'd know about it, basically.

So if this is true, isn't it totally possible that there are actually ads on dsp's videos, but that ad $$ is instead going to YouTube? They pretty much have the explicit right to do so.

Third-parties can put ads on Youtube videos claiming it as their intellectual property. A small industry has even sprung up of people claiming videos that aren't their's, raking in a week's worth of free ad money.

Further, Youtube can place their own ads. For example, to spur interest in Youtube Red, they began putting more ads on music, just to annoy people into buying their ad-free service.

Yeah, this is definitely because of how many of the subs he got came as a result of that million view 'Homefront' review. He found some people who genuinely liked his reviews and subbed.

I saw him check KOGaming's analytics on his Youtube dashboard. He sees the subscriber numbers are still quite high, and reasons at least that's positive for his wholsale move there.

It's been common knowledge that the subscriber/follower number of a social media account is now pretty meaningless. What matters is the 'interaction', 'watch-time', etc. Phil was even complaining about low view-times on his videos while looking at the KOGming analytics... His mind is so confusing.

yea it looks the same but he tweeted about a big one

Essentially his Christmas "Mystery Donor" ploy again.

I'm being quite serious in saying that Phil would probably make an excellent car salesman.

He's a born salesman. If he could sit at a desk and bullshit people over the phone, I think he could have a fulfilling (to him) life.

Can't wait for him to shit on Curse. You know it's going to happen. As soon as the words "mutual agreement" were said, a future badmouthing of Curse was being teased.

*Insert "WHYAMITAHXIC?" meme here*

His constant petty need to talk trash about people once he's finished with them, as always, will demonstrate that Phil is best detractor.

I cant believe I was this retarded......

I honestly thought dsp would stream today. With all the shit thats happened I legit thought he would stream at LEAST once today to start trying and make up some $. very fucking sad, and to think hes crying for sympathy

Or maybe least a double tomorrow?

The reasons Phil wants to be part of an MCN are that they:
1) Get him out trouble whenever copyright strikes occur without him having to do anything. Machinima had to do this like 5 times and always came through; Phil naturally said they never helped him with anything. I can't remember but it's possible Curse had to help him a couple times as well. He didn't need them, though!
2) Get around his permabanned AdSense account. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when you're part of an MCN, they get the money from YouTube/Google directly then cut their employee/"content creator" a check. At least that's the way I interpreted it from Google's support page (see pic below). It's hilarious how Phil flat out admitted to Mitch that he created a "dummy", i.e. fraudulent, AdSense account for Curse just so he could get ads on his videos through them. After Curse dropped him, he tried to tie the fraudulent account to himself and found he couldn't do that because he's banned, leading to the EMERGENCY videos. Either he believes his own delusional bullshit that he's not banned/did nothing wrong or he legitimately forgot he was after all these years.

Phil is most likely done with MCNs, what with them trying to avoid controversial/troublesome assholes like Phil from now on. What I think ends up happening is Phil goes full on greasy sleazebag, gets Kat to create an AdSense account (I just checked Kat's videos - no ads, so she most likely never had one) that he attaches to DSPgaming, takes all the money for himself, and then pretends he got it fixed legitimately.
wouldn't he first have to unattach the dummy adsense account? this, to me, seems like where his shit hits the fan... he clearly violated the terms of service by creating the account just to get the channel partnered... in all the confusion of changing policies at Google at the time, it seems like phil fell thru the cracks in noticing his antics at first... they eventually matched his Channel with the ad click ban, and demonitised it while it had already been partnered, for whatever reason, they didn't end it there, but instead allowed the MCN to continue to make the revenue. but now it seems he may want to think twice about bringing this to to many peoples attention, or he may end up with all 3 channels demonitized.

Just curious does anyone know how much money Curse has made from his over the years? I really always wanted to know as to how much they pocket and what % dsp would get opposed to what he would get if he was alone. They also prob saw his recent #'s and chose he wasnt worth it along with the other reasons

he was only with them a little over a year. machinima was hitched to him during his "prime" years.

I just deleted 90+ posts from this thread that I felt weren't contributing anything or that were comments that had already been made.

Insert disclaimer here about how just because I left a post doesn't mean that type of post is necessarily ok, that I may have removed posts that were ok, and that I only skimmed posts to clean up the thread.

Some of what I deleted was good conversation that would have fit in the general discussion thread, and that conversation is now gone because I'm not going to put in that kind of work. If people want conversation to stick around and it's off-topic they need to have it in the general thread or make a dedicated thread for that topic.

Philly got a reply from Mitch:

Speculating here, but...
1) Curse is looking the 'trim fat' so they start investigating all the channels under their umbrella.
2) They get to DSP and notice the 'invalid for monetization' designation and/or conflicting Adsense account data.
3) They notify DSP and give him time to fix this. Thus, we get the 'possible problem in the future' hints being dropped by Dave.
4) Dave gives Curse his ' I did nothing wrong' speech, tells them about the 'dummy account' he made to be able to join them in the first place and sits back assured of Curse seeing the error They made.
5) Curse drops his channel as they count their lucky stars they caught this before YT came a'knocking with accusations of Fraud.

I feel bad for the one fan that actually enjoys his playthrougs and commentary becuase now they will be stuck with longer pre-streams, possibly 3-4 more hours talking about this situation before there is, if any, gameplay.

I'm sure tonight we will hit all the pre-stream bingo within the first hour.

Is there any other streamer who has hour long "pre-streams" (wtf is that streaming before you stream) where he does nothing but bitch and complain and act like a complete dick and ban people for asking when the gaming starts?

There's probably plenty of them. Thankfully they're probably not also getting hundreds of dollars for it.
