Hold up... does anyone think it's weird we just collectively retconned history to make it so we're the good guy white knights and everyone else is the bad guy?
 
Anna spent years trying to dislodge Kim from Chris, unsuccessfully. The more she talks at Chris and REEEEs at him, the better, because he'll get stressed out with her and shut down. In moments like these, less is more. Once Chris gets too stressed from Anna's pestering he'll seek out comfort from the people not causing him the stuh-ress.

Anna more or less said she only knew when KF would post about her when people would send her links. She could literally just ignore da trolls and not be bothered about any of this. She should have known that kicking up a huge fuss would have facilitated this thread being relevant longer.
 
She probably needs Chris for something more than her ego. Probably writing a book about their "friendship" and is waiting until he does something to end up in national news so she can sell it.

I don't think we think we're the good guys, I just think people are pointing out with humor the sad reality that in a world of bad people hurting Chris, the farms was oddly the most useful. Anna wanted to be Queen of the Trolls, Barb wanted money, Rocky wanted to be see as some tough ol lady who fought back the trolls, Megan wanted ebay shit. There hasn't been one person in his life who didn't want something out of him in the time we've known him, and that includes us. Null, the Captain and Marvin just happen to also be the people who have helped the most.

And yes, I'd say they helped more than Bob. Not that Bob didn't try, though I do feel Bob could've done a hell of a lot more, but he wasn't very effective.

I don't think Chris will ever make "national news", he almost did with the macing incident, but it was probably too cringey to cover. If Ana is angling at something, it has to be something very illegal that puts Chris on the offensive end of the situation, which means she needs to have legal action taken against her. Chris may have a small fandom, but it will never be lucrative to Ana without making Chris into more of a monster than people perceive him to be.

Not to his face, but gay men and some lesbians can be extremely tribalistic and superficial. While a slow in the minds male lesbian might be received well up front, behind Chris back is a different story. This is also the guy who can't understand when people are making fun of him.

I didn't say they weren't talking behind his back. Almost certainly they were, because he's weird. I just said that there is no way they bluntly said to his face that he's not a woman, leading him to slicing his taint open. Your point that he can't understand when he's being made fun of only supports that.

He set him up with a permanent income even Barb couldn't fuck up permanently. That was pretty effective.

I think the only thing Bob could be criticized for is how he dealt with the trolling, and that was something that he shouldn't be expected to be able to handle in his old age.

That and the exceptional scheme where they took Chris to Richmond, that had to have been a strain, I'll bet you that Barb's hoarding got worse during that time.

I think Bob should be criticized for not putting Chris in a school where he might've had a shot. Bob and Barb fucked up from that moment, and no amount of setting him up with the tugboat can change the fact that he actively had a part in fucking over his kids future.

Mind you, I think Bob did what he thought was best, I'm also willing to bet if he'd been able to do it all again, he probably would've sent Chris to that school. Or, maybe not shacked up with Barb. Bob and Chris probably BOTH would've been far better off without her.

I tend to give Bob a pass on not getting Chris the special education he needed because his old ass probably really thought that equated to being committed to an insane asylum. It really is a shame. I don't think Chris would have ended up being a savant in some exceptional field, but I bet he could have worked his way up to managing the fuck out of a grocery store or retail outlet.

That's why I think Bob and Chris would've been way better off without Barb. I think if someone could've just sat Bob down and shown him, he'd have seen the rationality in it. He would've been way less likely to, say, throw a screeching bitchfit and walk out.

We'll never know who objected most, but I'd bet Barb did and I'll bet Bob didn't even listen to them try to explain that it was different now. Not because he thought he knew everything, but because she was shrieking indignantly and he wanted her to stop.
