There's really no winning for him here.

-Have parents pay for all expenses including eating out, flights, wedding, tux/dress etc
You said they were dying and you're having them dump thousands of dollars on you. Not a good look.

-You used a good grip of "tax money" to pay for things such as the marriage, eating out, etc.
Again, scummy if the situation. You blatantly scammed your fans like you did to move Khet in. No, not everyone forgot about moving Khet in and it's not a damn meme.

-Come out that you were planning on getting married in CT
A bit suspect to anyone especially with the few months prior begging hardcore. Extremely dishonest

Should have just kept your mouth shut and never posted saying you got married. Ya fucking dumbass.

Doesn't matter on Phil's end. For all the comments here about DSP lying to his fans, you're probably overlooking that DSP's fans are even dumber than the lies he uses to rustle them for shekels. It'll be business as usual in his exposition stream on Sunday, and this wedding news might even shake a couple more wallets loose than the usual amount he gets.

I'm expecting him to make bank on Sunday. You just know he's gonna bring up how mean the detractors were, "they insulted muh girl-I mean Wife on our wedding day. She had to go visit a 'friend' for a few hours to recover". Then the usual show of autism from his viewers of "showing those idiots" by throwing money at him.

Most people will probably overlook the suspicious af timing of the whole thing. The way he used his parents, "it was their idea doods, I did nothing wrong! I did everything they said". On Sunday we will once again get a up-close and personal look of who exactly is re.tarded in his chat. Anyone who donates after this shit show (especially those mongs who donate before he even starts speaking) are his ideal viewers. They'll take the cock and thank for him privilege of getting fucked.

It's all been planned already.

  • Tweets on his wedding day so people can call him out on his bullshit
  • Hypes the Sunday podcast so people can get their piggy banks ready in advance
  • On the podcast he'll say how hateful evil trolls were hating on him on the happiest day of his life
    • Dehumanize the trolls - own the trolls
  • Disabled individuals from all corners of the world cough up some cash
  • "Thanks guys I'm really happy now but I need more of your money to keep being happy and keep my life with my wife Kat, okay?"
  • Tax situation is definitely not over yet, so probably more set-up for that

To me, I don't care if Phil actually "needed" the money for taxes and didn't instead use it to buy a ring. Cheap ring, expensive ring, who knows? I think saying you have to visit your parents because they're dying when they're not is the lowest of the low. Yes, I know he used various weasel words to not literally say "dying", more like "they're in poor health" and "might not see them again"---but he said it over and over for MONTHS. Who says that about their own parents as an excuse to get married secretly? If your brain works normally, wouldn't you just say you're going to visit your parents because they're your fucking parents and you haven't seen them in years? But there's no pitybux or sympathy donations in that line, and that's where Phil is twisted.

Dave has this weird inherent need to justify everything he does; it even comes through when he's figuring out what games to play, what he wants to do or not do in a game or stream, and even when he brings up real life shit. Could be the pity line, or it could just be him coming up with whatever excuse he can to have a reason to do it.

If anyone wanted to dick around while they've nothing better to do, you could try to pair up when this season's tax begging arc began (does it just overlap with last season's? is this just a single, giant e-begging session spanning years?) and when the CT trip was announced. You have to assume here, but I want to bet that the announcement of the CT trip was made shortly after they were engaged (would line up 'more' if it was post-first begtrospective event since it's known the Space Needle trip happened before then and I it could be somewhat safe to assume he proposed to her there). You could be extra special and trying to find when he started the meme of, "The life Khet and I have built here," since that seems like something he might switch to after engagement, but that's nothing short of pure speculation.

I think these are important because, oddly, even with Dave's 'tism-racked schedule, he might simply have not thought it through and planned it out. I'm pretty sure he started the tax-beggery well before the trip/not-really-sick-parents announcement. With the oddity of him announcing his engagement to Reeanna a day before his marriage to Khet, you want to assume that he planned it that way in some pathetic game of spite, and he realized far too late that it was lining up exactly when he'd need to be working hardest to cover his supposed tax deficit. So it then morphs into, "Muh parents aren't doing too well, they can't even get on a plane!", and that then devolves into, "They're getting up there in age, and while they're not on their deathbeds, it's better to do it sooner rather than later," because he actually has some sort of guilt of lying about his parents nearly being dead when they're not.

I'm not a fan of this kind of speculation because you're really assuming too much and just grasping at straws, but I wouldn't be surprised if the whole ever-changing situation his parents are in is what it is purely because he didn't think far enough ahead about how the dates lined up and what lies he was currently telling. Compound that with him needing to justify everything he does in life, incapable of giving a simple 'Because I want to' as an answer, and I think you get this situation. It'd be funny if he planned the marriage/trip date solely around his failed engagement with Panda, because there was nothing stopping him from doing it in a month or two. I don't think he's stupid enough to have done it to try and gain some benefit for this year's taxes, especially if his story about having an accountant, I mean CPA, I mean a tax, uh, guy, is true, and that it's not just H&R Block. He'd be privy to the knowledge that it wouldn't help him this year.

I dunno, there might be something there, probably not. Whatever.

I don't get the "safety" concerns. Was he worried that people would come to his condo in CT? The only change is now people know about it versus not knowing before. Why wouldn't the same "danger" now exist.

. . .but, congratulations? Kat's all in on this then. Hope homeboy recognizes that a wife is a lot different than an spaced out girlfriend.

In regards to the ring and dress; They both look like heirlooms. I would venture to guess they are from either from khhhhats or phils grandmothers, as they look that old.

I have no doubt if enough people do report Dave to Twitch they could take action. Not a perma ban only a short-ish suspend that could give him time for his honeymoon. He did get suspended in the past for some similar stunts, but he is very clearly scamming his audience now using Twitch, with very fucking deplorable tactics like dying parents.

I'd say if you couldn't ensure a perma it's not worth it. All it'll do is work into his narrative and favor. He'd just come back and bang on about the moronic detractors trying to take him down, how he talked with his exclusive contact at Twitch and they told him he did nothing wrong. It's not worth it. Wait for him to do something on stream that actually warrants a perma. Anything less just helps him.

Internet vigilantism, deserved as it is in his case, isn't going to bring Phil down. It's been tried, again and again - people mass report him for so much as farting on stream. Twitch doesn't care what he does so long as he's bringing in revenue for them and in the meantime they waste man hours reading and clearing reports filed by vindictive people who want to be the one that ends the legacy. I'm not saying every person who does so is thinking that way, just that the process doesn't work. What'll end Phil in regards to Twitch is them ceasing to be the only game in town and that's beyond any one group of people. Only then will they have to change their policies to become more competitive.

Phil is a timebomb. You don't need to cut the wrong wire to speed things up. Just enjoy the countdown.

DSP posted four "collages" from the zoo yesterday to social media along with his Wahlburgers pic. No mentions of his new wife anywhere on social media other than a "today is OUR long journey home" tweet.

I love how even though his trip to the zoo got rained out on Tuesday, he still had to go even after his wedding day. Something about that is funny to me.

Would it be that painful? If it takes after Papa Phil you could dangle a bit badge in front of the birth canal and the baby would come flying out.

Phil Jr.: P... P...

Kat: Oh my god, he's trying to say his first word! Is it "Papa"? Is it "Phil"?

Phil, from his "office": Huuuh? Whuaaat? I can't hear you, I have headphones on, so... there you go.

Phil Jr.: P... P... P-Please consider subbing, tipping or cheering. Tipping helps me the most right now, because I get that money immediately.

According to Phil (which means nothing, of course), Twitch says his next warning would be an indefinite suspension.

Didn't know he claimed that but I don't think it's true. Don't Twitch strikes get removed after like 6 months? That's why there's a few people with like 5+ suspensions under their belt. I think Sodapoppin has been suspended more than 5 times. I think it mostly depends on how valuable they see you as. Soda is worth more than Dark many times over. So it could be true, but it wouldn't have to do with the usual 3-strike rule. As long as you space out your suspensions and make enough money Twitch will keep you around.

Unless it's a major rule violation/crime. Even then Twitch is a bit suss.

I think it's some sort of rule that she has to pick the most bland option possible, so Kat will now be known simply as Mrs. Philip Burnell.

One big plus to this is Phil has lost a chunk of patrons since the announcement. He's down 4 or 5 so far and from $497 per month to $469 (10% of which goes to Patreon and payment processing and another 1-5% goes to payout fees, so realistically he's netting probably somewhere around ~$400-$415 after all is said and done). Fingers crossed it keeps dropping and that one his spergy paypigs doesn't have a reee-attack and decide to fork over even more of their disability check to cover DSP's losses.
