@Mr.PiggyOinkOinkOink's pointed out a recent clip taken by Mrhuthstuff:

"Without giving too many perfect - uh - too many specific details, in about a month's time, I may be appearing on a podcast. It's been a hell of a long time since I appeared on any show of anyone.

And, I got an offer, and I've been talking back-and-forth with a couple people, and - uh- I may be on a podcast next month.

And if it does work out, it may be good timing because if the podcast goes well it could end up being free publicity, which number one: obviously helps, and number two: as you remember like I said next month I'm probably gonna be doing some kind of a marathon in late March to raise funds for my taxes, so maybe it'll give me some exposure to a new audience who'll come by.

Uh - I'll let you guys know the details when I have them worked put. I do not have them worked out as of yet, yet. Um - I'll give you guys maybe a couple week - uh - notice, so that we can hype it up. Ya know, first time I've been on - on - a show or anything in a long ass time. So... OK...

No worries. People are saying "what about trolls?" Don't worry 'bout it. Don't have to worry about any of that. That's all behind the scenes stuff [unitelligible] be handled. Don't have to worry about that shit. Huh huh..."

Back in early January, "Drunken Peasants" reached out to Phil on Twitter, as noted here by @Wurstbrot

FYI
Don't expect anything. If they don't pay him, Phil will say no. And he will say no regardless because he is a pussy and can't comprehend exposure. Especially not from the sphere of Drunken Peasants who are basically detractors. Also Phil would have to leave the house and get in contact with strangers, it sounds like.
I suggest open a new thread when something actually happens or get announced.

Phil's flaked on appearances before, most famously Jordie Jordan's podcast on Januray 2015:

The Drunken Peasants invitation reminded me of the time DSP was scheduled to go on Jordie Jordan's podcast back on January 15 2015 and Philip didn't have to spine to say he wouldn't do it instead offering up a child's excuse of "I'm sick" on the 12th despite the fact he put out "gameplay" footage with his god awful commentary on the 13th 15th and some KOgaming video on the 14th. The clips discussing DSP from the show appear to have been from the livestream and I can't check if they are available right now due to the current status of Wings' Twitch channel.
Philip must not think much of Wing's to have blown him off twice like that.

Also relevant:

It's very apparent Philip will not risk entering an environment he is not fully in control over. Were he ever to appear on someone else's content it'd be a complete hugbox.

18-Feb-2019: Responding to a Cheer question, Phil laid out the planned scope of his appearance, and his appeal as a guest.

(Thanks to @Mr.PiggyOinkOinkOink and @LightCoreLif for pointing this out)

19-Feb-2019:

On stream someone warned DSP about the Reddit post and said Drunken Peasants. DSP mocked the conspiracy theory that they're out to get him and didn't deny it was DP.

So congratulations.

He also said "We're in talks," so it's not a done deal. I expect him to flake.

21-Feb-2019: @thebonesauce pointed out that "Woolie" from "Two Best Friends Play" has a twitch show "where he casually hangs out with random guests and talks fighting games". "Pretty sure they had some nice words for DSP not long ago, and now DSP has mentioned he’s gonna do a podcast next month because of his knowledge of ST..." Here's the intro to Woolie's show, "Getting Into Fighting Games", that thebonesauce linked.

23-Feb-2019: @Comma's vigilance has reaped what appears to be a confirmation that Phil will be on the Drunken Peasant's podcast. "Johnpage", who can be seen here introducing the Drunken Peasants to Phil's infamous Half-Life fail (thanks to @Awful Meerkat for the link) appeared in Phil's chat, eventually telling Phil, "im excited to see ya on the podcast phil, should be fun."

I just noticed a partnered Twitch user called "johnpage" showing up in DSP's chat.

Turns out it's the guy who's showing the DSP gameplay in the clip above. Dood seems pretty trollish, tbh.

I just noticed he's been in DSP's chat quite a few times before, but under two different names.

So he's been in his chat off and on since February 2017. Scanning through his messages, he comes off as either helpful/sincere or a bit trollish/trying to bait DSP. Kinda hard to get a bead on him.

-late edit- He just showed up again and confirmed DSP will be on the Drunken Peasants podcast.

Really hoping they'll use some info from here and elsewhere to start questioning him in realtime about all his lies. He's able to make it work by memory-holing inconveniencies, but it's hard to do that when they'll all displayed for the world to see as you're trying to deny they exist. Start with the "click on ads" video, follow up with any of the numerous "thanks for the donations" videos from back in the day, and then move forward to asking how Phil has been "in dire financial straits" for like 4 years now.
Looks like people on their subreddit at least know about DSP and are *ahem* preparing for him to be on the podcast. :story:

As others mentioned in the general thread, it feels like Phil is really desperate if he's willing to do a podcast. But, it also sounds like he's pretty on the fence about whether he wants to do it or not. I'm leaning towards him not wanting it, if for no other reason Phil pretty reliably goes with the option that involves the least amount of effort on his part. It sounds like he's only considering it at all because he's being strung along with promises of some sort of reward. Didn't he once say a year or so ago that he'd only do a podcast or appear in another video if he was paid, with his minimum price being around $500 or so?

IMO, it is a troll ops promising to either pay or promote Phil, and while Phil is normal a pretty gullible person, I think his general paranoia and laziness will ultimately win out. He'll back away and then do the usual thing where he blames it on detractors and talk about how he lost so much money/promotion because of them and push his paypigs to donate more to make up for those losses. The only way I see him doing it is if he's actually paid in advance and has the money in his bank account and meets whatever other stipulations he sets.

So he thinks just because he show up on a podcast a ton of people will start following him and shower him with a ton of money?
I can buy that he might get a viewing boost, but money... No, not really.

In regards to the potential podcast i hope it is done by someone who can and dare ask questions or won't accept bullshit, i remember the last "podcast" he was on and it was more a fan kissing his ass than questioning him, been trying to find it again but failed.

I used to watch some DP and they really aren't antagonistic to any of their guests unless they're being brought on in a debate format. Ben is a potato jew, but he pays guests and probably gives a cut of the super berries. None of that really matters because Dark isn't actually going in studio to stream with them, he's a full-on dracula by this point.

Lmfao.

Okay so we got two options on this now.

Option A. DSP goes on the show.

First of all we can deduce from the statements by Dark that the "back and forth talks" means payment and stipulations to be met. We can also deduce that stipulations will be phil given a Draft of Questions by the host so he can review them and approve of what will be asked and what will not be asked and Dark will make the final decisions on that list. Because payment will be involved expect DP to have an issue with some major stipulations by Dark and will not give in to some. What we will all see the day he goes on will be a utter shitshow which will end with Dark getting up and leaving or Dark akwardly refusing to answer questions off script or blundering shit up and overly indulging on shit thatll get his ass in trouble or major PR shit.

For us itll be amazing.

Option B. Dark skips it the Podcast

Now thisll be the big one for us as thisll lead to some possible amazing shitstorms in Darks way. As stated previously Dark has a high chance to flake EVEN IF he is paid. What this means is that if Dark flakes we may see a possible legal response due to Dark taking money and not fulfilling obligations. A DarkSydePhil lolsuit could be a huge potentional due to his dumbass flaking which we will have amazing content all year from it. More over, itll be fucking amazing reading Dark lying to a judge in his typical bullshit lengthy fashion and getting BTFOd for it.

All in all this is a huge win for us and I am excited.

I've seen DP in the past, I suppose they'll have him on to low key make fun of him and see if he's self aware enough to realize.

I predict it will be incredibly awkward to see DSP appear on a podcast to essentially raise awareness of him being a greedy pig and asking for money.

It might as well bring more people to the detractor community which, in a way, will give DSP more views and troll tips.

DSP might pussy out and just call it off last minute. I can't imagine him actually having a conversation with someone, let alone having an interesting podcast, but it would be great to have this internet gem.

Would he put on a fake pussy boy persona, or will he stick to the ahnest dude-bro gamer man character he sees himself as?

Knowing DP, DSP can get SHREDDED by Paul or TJ if he starts talking shit, so he'll watch his mouth and play it safe.

In the end, I have no idea why he's doing this. I don't think he wants to attract people to his streams, just to his Paypal.

What’s interesting about that sub reddit comment is he said Ben sounded confident. Which means this Ben guy already mentioned our favorite pig somewhere already for potentially coming on

Also is it possible that dark is just using terms wrong like always and they aren’t in talks to do a podcast, but maybe some weird meet up for games? In the tweet they made note to say they are local guys and want to hangout for suprr turbo. Sounds more like some gaming session than a podcast. Maybe someone who watches their stuff could elaborate, the two or three videos I glanced at were all them at home talking, seems weird they would point out they are local if everyone’s going to sit at home and film.

Dark having to leave the house though does skyrocket the he’s gonna bail theory though lol

Paul and TJ are gone, it's just Ben and Billy The Fridge now. They probably aren't going to fuck on him if he shows up to the studio.

hes probably going to back out at the last minute, give some excuse about how its their fault. yadda yadda bullshit

If you think about it, this podcast will be a win-win situation for Dave.

If this is a "trap" and they start questioning him about his lies, he can just stop the podcast, go back to his safe space and prepare the next "Everyone wants to fuck with meee, Reee!" - Emergency stream.

If this is legit and they won't talk about the juicy stuff, this would be free exposure for him and an opportunity to get more fans/sympathizer.

Local guys? Super Turbo?

Holy shit, I can't wait to hear DSP complain about online lag tactics in his first offline match in YEARS.

:stress:

"HES USING OFFLINE TACTICS, THIS IS BULLLSHITTT DOOD!

that always got me, phil complaining about 3 frames or 20 ms of lag. like bitch its obvious that even if you had 200 ms you still wouldnt be able to react fast enough. from my point, ive seen phil play many games, react slowly, figure shit out slowly, and complain about not seeing something even when its completely visible. hm bitching about how he couldve blocked an attack if he didnt have .2 secs of delay is a fucking joke

I hope it’s the official podcast, I can easily see it for how much they referenced him before
