US 2022 Midterm - Election Spergery for all things local, Senate, House, governors, and everything in-between.

Lots of discussions for the 2022 midterm going around. In a year and a month and a half, we all get to decide who will fuck us in the ass less. The Donkeys (Democrats) or the Elephants (Republicans).

I'm going to put up a more informative post later, but all I will say now is that I think there's a 50/50 chance of either party getting the House. I expect Democrats to keep the Senate, for now that is. No idea what opportunities there are for Republicans to win governor races where Democrats currently hold position of power.

The left in the US have become the establishment. In 20 years people will look back at Trump's loss and the Newsom recall with the same kind of wistful longing as Hunter S Thompson did in his wave monologue from Fear and Loathing. We're headed into uncharted waters now, friends, with no telling what the future holds (besides disappointment).

It's not really a certainty the GOP will win back anything since many in the GOP are more concerned with fighting each other than they are with going against the Democrats.

Which honestly makes the next year interesting since there are going to be various attempts by the different factions in the GOP to assert dominance.

You still have the old guard that still don't seem interested in what their own voters want, resulting in guys like Rand Paul openly trying to be pro-immigration now. While Democrats would likely have activists trying to badger their congressmen endlessly for daring go against their interests, maybe even doing sit ins within the congressmen's office, parade around with signs constantly, or whatever random shit like that, right wingers will likely do next to nothing to force Paul to change his position. So you have a lot of these relics thinking they need to return to the old styled cuckservative principles and would happily lose with 'honor' for the rest of time.

Meanwhile you have Linda Mcmahon, Stephen Miller and others that seem to largely be going under the radar these days as they try building up influence for more Trumpian politicians and policies.

Miller's America First Legal helped with getting that race based farm aid program shut down. Yet I suspect many have no idea Miller was even associated with any of this.
The group won a preliminary injunction against the Department of Agriculture’s program that gave loan forgiveness to "socially disadvantaged" farmers. It defined "socially disadvantaged" as a group whose members have been subjected to racial or ethnic prejudice, including Native American, Asian, Black and Latino farmers. AFL led Texas farmers who held qualifying loans but were disqualified as they were White.

It’s other key victory came when the Biden administration was ordered to stop prioritizing certain groups in awarding funds under its Restaurant Revitalization Fund – a move that AFL's suit said was discriminatory.
Which all makes me think one of the major issues over the next year will be right wing media and whether it reports on what's seriously going on that would interest voters. A fairly large chunk of right wing media seems to be acting like jilted lovers that don't want to give attention to the Trump wing that are still focusing on things like immigration and are instead wanting to go back to focusing on 'traditional' conservatives like JD Vance or DeSantis who get treated as amazing possibilities for leading the Republican party due to saying they want smaller government or that vaccines work.

Joe Biden will die of natural causes 2 months before the midterms. The sympathy and optimism votes from his death will negate anything that would've been lost from policy up until that point and will actually end up gaining dems some seats.

Michigan

Detroit Police Chief James Craig announced that he was running for Michigan Governor (R)... but his announcement was overwhelmed by about 50 protestors, so that he had to relocate to finish it. He claims local law enforcement neglected their duties. They dispute this claim. Craig is the ninth officially declared Republican candidate so far.

In other news, Michigan's state senate, state house, and federal house districts are being redrawn by a committee of randomly selected citizens (four Republicans, four Democrats, and five Independents), who are behind schedule. They were supposed to be finished by November 1st. They are currently shooting for December 30th, at the earliest. They attribute the delay to the US Census data they needed to work with being delayed. Voters approved a proposal to have the redistricting done this way back in 2018; this is the first time it has actually been done here.

Im honestly a bit dismotivated to get invested in this, Im very sure its going to be a mini 2020 election all over again, right down to covid having spikes to justify voting methods that CONVENIENTLY seem to only benefit the democrats.

Its like seeing someone pour gas all over your house while your gently ask him to stop, you know what he will do once he is done pouring, you could stop him but that would require for you to stop asking please and get physical. And to add insult to injury, there is a camera crew with the man that is ready to record the moment you go beyond the "please, stop" to pretend you attacked him out of nowhere and that you are a monster.

It just shocks me that this Covid shit went for so long that we have reached the mid terms... *sigh*

The elections have been fortified. Covid hysteria hasn't been died at a political level. The America first or Magas haven't gone back to sleep. The outcome seems self-evident.

Sweeping Democrat victory. Every trick that is in the book will be played once again by the democrat political machine and the cuckservatives will happily get fucked in the ass again, if it means not giving into the will of their voters.

The long term effects will be the same as the effects of the 2020 election. Sluggish economy, inflation, mass influx of aliens from the south of the border, increasing crime, butchering of the education system and consolidation of the elites hold over America.

Long term I think this is a good thing. Its self evident American's haven't deserved the freedoms those evil white men fought for some 200 years ago for a while now.

The age of the republic is over, the age of oligarchic empire has begun.

The state of North Carolina has declared that niggers and sheboons are too stupid to know how to get a ID to vote. I wonder after seeing how Larry Elder got shit on, do conservatives have the will to tell the judges to fuck off or listen to them while their base will one day abandon them.

By the way, that is the article itself that I just quoted.

The real tragedy is when the persons who become the establishment we're once the cool and edgy badass rebels of yesteryear. Howard Stern is tragically a recent example, although he supposedly hasn't been funny in years.

Honestly anything that NC Dems do wouldn't surprise me, one cartoonist depicted a Black Republican governor as a KKK member of all things.
