AS AN ASIDE FOR BITCHNIGGERS AT HOME
If you are at all potentially at risk for a TARGETED attack you cannot play modded games on your "at risk" computer. It would be moderately easy for someone to slip something into curseforge itself. and it has happened clumsily in the past. If I were a blackest of hats I could get access to some of the more popular modding groups in 3-6 months (they're always starved for coders) and add or modify a function to either pull down extra code or just add something to the mod that would only activate in specific circumstances.
And even if it would be detected and outed, it would only have to be "live" for awhile.
anti-virus will NOT protect against this; your main protection is that if it isn't targeted it would be found relatively quickly by others.
