Someone I know said it would be best to have people moderate forums they are never in so that they are completely neutral on it. Sounds good to me; but you’d have to be paid to do something like that. But on face value it seems like a good idea

You ought to think of the logic: obviously they are KF users that are mods; the idea they moderate a neutral forum or area on KF they seldom approach has merit. Obviously they would have to be invested enough in the idea behind KF to do the moderation rather than attempting to try and moderate a forum in their own interest. Null has people that help him do things that aren’t particularly exciting; but if they are behind the forum than they are behind the forum; it can’t always be an officers life.

Dumb things to you equal an opposing point of view. And this website is almost devoid of any subject that doesn’t require opinion, not exactly the science forum is it?

When I first came to KFs there were a bag of nuts that would jump onto any opposing point of view like a pack of dogs; I eventually figured out after a year that if you replied to everyone and always had the last word and drove them to madness with awful replies they would eventually block you and stop replying. It has been bliss ever since. And it was so much fun.

Been lurking since really early times account-less, have been here with an account for NINE YEARS ALREADY?!?! Still, I'll avoid applying despite having spare time due to the stagnant hell I've been stuck in for the last near decade thanks to insane troons online and politics people fucking me over. As funny as it would cosmically be to have the monkey movie reference username have a double meaning beyond the already existing judge Dredd gun one and some other shit, and as much as I want to help with stuff when possible, I'm not gonna fill out a jannie form for it! There's also the fact I kinda value having control over my independent freedoms infinitely more than controlling others yes Iknow that's autistic as hell coming from a guy with the username I have.

Noticed the last few months a good amount of post 2020 people, especially some very reddit-y 2024 join date users (the ones that aren't new accounts from older guys) that start shit seem really itching for janny status which concerns me. Gives me flashbacks to some people asking for janny status on a now dead game that then set up some shit so they could "buy the game from the owners to become admins/mods" when they were denied. This clearly didn't happen nor was this their actual plan. They still got given money by absolute retards. They fucking hounded me constantly trying to fuck my life up for 5 years or so when I called them out back in 2015. I think I rambled about that back when that was still new-ish in chat if anyone even remembers that. You know, back when I still had the monkey avatar my username is tied to. I hope these guys aren't that fucking deranged lmao. Still best to like keep in mind potential issues with the kind of gayops this site's had to deal within it's over a decade long lifespan. Hoping this doesn't end in some kind of surreal severe fuckup shitshow.
