Last I checked the stats that 4chan provides advertisers has their non-US IPs at a bit over 50%. It definitely feels higher than that, particularly on high traffic, more accessible boards like /pol/ and /tv/. But that stat alone seems to be devastating and way past irrecoverable in terms of "board culture" or whatever you want to call the character of an online community. I feel like I can comfortably contrast recent happenings with prior happenings and though I can't argue the point necessarily, I would suggest anecdotally that 2020 was the turning point where a dead/dying site became something else, for it was during COVID lockdowns that untold UK Commonwealth normie retards stayed home from ye olde pub and shite-posted on the Yank-created 4chan (now run by a Jap CIA asset living in Paris). I mean, it's fucking bad. These retards never went back. They sit online - in "communities" like 4chan - solely because they think they're dodging their social media auditing or some nonsense. The "culture" of this new 4chan is non-American and yet negatively obsessed with American culture on which it's participants were raised (contrasted with American anon's positive obsession with Japan). It's significantly ESL (English as a second language) which has massive further implications for "board culture" still. You see, it's not just that Germans and eastern Yuropeons are humorless rapespawn shitheads. It's something far worse. It's that all of these non-US "anons" think they're anon from 10+ years ago. They all think they're in on a joke they never made and can never make because it's not their culture. Sure, Nigel can get close, given the cultural connection of the US and UK. But close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. These fucks have been consuming a culture that is not their own for their entire lives and now they're mad at that culture but can only use that culture's slang/memes to express that anger. It's like we're making niggers all over again.
What does this mean exactly? It means they should implement mandatory non- user editable nation flags across site and encourage healthy xenophobia in recognition of the fact that the foreign tourist consumes American low cultural farts for a reason.
