Good ol' autism flamewar between soyjak spammers, some Christian /pol/acks, other assorted spergs, and a few sane people.

This is where it starts to become unironic copypasta. Starting off with a beautiful "I'm not mad" right next to a wall of text.

So has anyone here know about "Guy"?

He's a Homestuck / John K fag that keeps shitting up /co/

For one, he's a schezo that keeps replying to himself

Much of this is correct but some isn't and it's missing some important things. The BATF in their original raid went full Rambo-but-retarded and just charged the front of the compound. This was tactically idiotic. There were elevated firing positions on three directions on higher floors of it, so they were getting shot down at from above from all directions.

Second, not only would Koresh have almost certainly come in for questioning, he also routinely jogged by himself at a nearby track. They could have simply arrested him there instead of setting off a siege. And as pointed out, they could have let the sheriff, who unlike them, wasn't a complete idiot, bring him in peaceably.

Third, Koresh was almost certainly actually a pedo. At least 13 of the kids at the compound were fathered by him according to DNA evidence and the mothers of some of them would have been minors at the time of birth. So okay maybe they got that fact right but burning them all to death is a mighty peculiar way to "rescue" them. Also it's a state law issue and the BATF would have had no jurisdiction over it anyway.

Fourth, and more importantly, while the BATF were a giant batch of fuckups who set this whole situation into motion, the feds continued to fuck up. For one, they considered Koresh a mere charlatan who would cave in if they threw psych out tactics at him like playing loud music and other psy ops retardation. As events showed, he was entirely convinced of his rightness and was going to fight to the end.

There's a little bit of whitewashing in considering them just harmless religious kooks, too. They'd been involved in gunplay with another rival cult, also an offshoot of the Seventh Day Adventists, in 1987. They also had issues with their neighbors. Again, this would be another state law issue.

The one issue where the BATF specifically had jurisdiction was gun laws, and they appear to have been wrong about the illegality of Koresh's weapons, which were mostly or entirely legal, and while experts argued later some were illegal, these weren't severe violations.

Finally, the idea that explosive gas and incendiary grenades couldn't possibly have started the fire beggars belief, but it almost doesn't matter. The BATF and FBI combined committed egregious errors throughout the entire confrontation that almost inevitably led to the death of nearly everyone in the compound (who had not been released by Koresh earlier), even if it was a mass suicide and the cultists started the fire themselves.

It's not like nobody had ever heard of Jonestown and didn't know how these things happen. They ignored their own experts.

The public was legitimately outraged by the whole series of events.

There are still interesting things left on 4fags?
imagine if you know someone dropped some diamond rings down in the sewer. You could go shift through all that shit and if you find one, fuckin aye it's great. But your not gonna find them quick or very close to each other so is it worth exposing yourself to all that disease and waste for a few trinkets your not sure you'll find?
That's how I'd describe the current state of the site
