schools already require (at least boys) to go through genital inspection when you get your physicals. (they have you do the "turn your head and cough" stuff)
These aren't going to be by randos, the kids will have a doctor note from something they'll probably required by law to do anyway

When did this become a thing? I never experienced that in the 90s or 2000s.

It's a standard examination for pelvic hernia and testicular cancer that's been around forever. They include it in sports physicals for teenagers in part because unlike most forms of cancer, you are most likely to get testicular cancer when you're young, and the likelihood decreases with age.

So Florida passed a law for "optics" on behalf of Republicans.
I'm not familiar with the specifics of the law, but from what I understand it just says if you're a boy you're on the boys team, if you're a girl you're on the girls team and clarifies how 'boy' and 'girl' will be classified.
Boys playing on girls sports teams hasn't been a spotlight issue , nor something many people gave any actual thought to until recently, so now a lot of states are specifying in certain terms that boys must play on boys sport teams and not on the girls teams.

Has a single person on this site ever played sports as a kid? No of course not you fat fucking autists. Your parents have to sign a foot high stack of consent forms plus you need a sports physical. Do you know what this involves? If you're a boy they grab your nads and have you cough. This is because if you have a hernia and play sports you could get seriously fucked up, and then they get sued.

They LITERALLY ALREADY DO THIS.

The only thing this legislature will actually change is the sheet that the doctor uses during the physical. Before they used a box with "Sex M/F," but since we live in a post-biological era that's not reliable anymore and there's going to be a new checkbox added somewhere for "Has penis," probably in the section where they were already grabbing your balls anyway. It's nothing.

I mostly just visit the more hobbyist boards like /co/, /a/, /m/, etc. Even in those kinds of boards, most of the discussion has gone to shit, to the point you need to go to different boards just talk about things like Eurocomics. /co/ seems to suffer this the most out of all the boards and this person seems to sum it up best

And one anon followed up with an response I find understandable.

In all seriousness, anon pretty much nailed why /co/ has become such a shitshow. You honestly have better luck talking about comics and cartoons here.

It's more funny if more people believe that the penis inspection day meme becomes real.

This is the main problem with 4chan: it's full of people who care more about the discussion than the thing they're discussing. Nobody on /co/ watches cartoons; nobody on /v/ plays video games; nobody on /fit/ lifts weights; and it's pretty much a given that nobody on /pol/ engages in politics or reads political theory. These people's enjoyment of the site comes solely from being a part of the in-group, repeating the correct opinions, regurgitating the shibboleths, finding "subtle" ways to convey their bitterness and misanthropy to a crowd of people who are just as empty as they are.

It all reminds me of this Roger Ebert quote:
A lot of fans are basically fans of fandom itself. It's all about them. They have mastered the Star Wars or Star Trek universes or whatever, but their objects of veneration are useful mainly as a backdrop to their own devotion. Anyone who would camp out in a tent on the sidewalk for weeks in order to be first in line for a movie is more into camping on the sidewalk than movies. Extreme fandom may serve as a security blanket for the socially inept, who use its extreme structure as a substitute for social skills. If you are Luke Skywalker and she is Princess Leia, you already know what to say to each other, which is so much safer than having to ad lib it. Your fannish obsession is your beard. If you know absolutely all the trivia about your cubbyhole of pop culture, it saves you from having to know anything about anything else. That's why it's excruciatingly boring to talk to such people: They're always asking you questions they know the answer to.

That may be the case for most of the boards, but /v/ loves their slapfights too much to ever form an in group without it immediately turning into another slapfight.
