i feel way more inclined to put in effort on here. i think the regulars here may be surprised how common that might be.

Ive lurked the farms for quite a few years and seen quite a few major happenings but havent been inspired to make an account until now. For the steaming pile of garbage that 4chan was, I miss it already. Ive been on and off that site since 2004. It was nice knowing you could make a quality effort-post and get engagements (sometimes) from likeminded anons or be a complete spergy retard depending on your mood. Even slopposting was great, I really enjoyed most of my time on /v/, /tv/ and /pol/ and knowing that its all probably gone for good sucks.
Underneath all the coombait and pedophilia, ive had some of the best lore discussions of my life in /v/. If the FromSoft threads didn't descend into immediate bullshit they were great. Ive learnt more about TES lore from /v/ than actually playing the games...

Thanks to 4chan my previously developing & now stunted mind has seen things most people wouldn't believe. Serial killers posting their victims off the shoulder of Orion. Politicians sexting minors near the Tannhauser gate... Now all these moments will be lost in time... like tears.. in the rain..

Dude, I'm one of those people. I used to make small edits, charts, and other such posts like informational webms for other anons and all of that. Eventually, it just felt like there was no point in effort posting because threads outside of generals died or got bumped off the catalogue super quickly. I enjoyed posting about sports on /sp/ because back then (around 2011-17) you could have analytical discussions with other anons, but eventually it just became spergcentral and some posters were just permanently looking for ways to force their shitty narratives and ritualposts (you'd get banned if you complained about them too). It was truly dire. I was stuck on that stupid site for way too long.

I met my first boyfriend through /v/, due to a game called epic mafia (like among us or town of Salem early text chat version) that had a /v/ group of regulars. We lived in the same area and hit it off. Didn't work out, dude had a massive foot fetish (amongst others) and was overall a pretty sad loser.
