The kiwifarms hate on 4chan was definitely not coming from organic users, at least on /pol/ and /v/. There's nothing about KF that warrants hate if you're not the type of degenerate autist that would be laughed at here. I can't speak for tumblr hugbox tier boards like /lgbt/ that probably hate the "cyberbullying" of lolcows. But the "organic" userbase of that board belongs on reddit or tumblr so they ain't a good representation of the majority opinion on 4chan about the farms.

What gave it away, the fact that direct linking to the site was "forbidden text" and was a bannable offense?

Am I just looking back with rose tinted glasses or are the late zoomers on 4chan significantly more fucked up than the generation before? I recall back when I was on the site regularly most people had a pornography addiction, but they hated troons and generally wanted to be left alone. I saw the tranny psyop happen in real time around 2015-16. It was spammed up and down /r9k/ and traps were being shoved down anons' throats like it was a coordinated effort. The jannies did nothing about it, of course and this continued until Reiko's discord grooming scandal came to light.

The roots of that coomer brainrot remained and that's how we got to this point.

While we're at it, did any of you also notice a sudden increase in "aggression" on 4chan during the past year? What I mean is that if you tried to effortpost on, say, a hobby board (like /g/ or /o/) there would always be 1 or 2 people who would enter the thread and act all pissed off, saying everyone's retarded and acting like you had killed their newborn child or something. Everyone always seemed irritable/on edge compared to even just a few years back.

The entire source for the site was leaked, and it was riddled with exploits and vulnerabilities, they are scrambling people to come patch all that out. The site's frameworks haven't been updated since Hiro acquired it, which was over 10 year ago. Not to mention all the IP leaks and email leaks, they have to reassign new emails for the entire mod/janny division.

Give it a couple of days and the site will be back online but at 50% capacity, a few essential boards, few jannies, just enough for people to get their fix. End of the week is a very generous estimate, I say the site will be fully operational next week at minimum.

They cannot, they have to do extensive patching on the source code of the forum software itself, get the OS to a current version along with the PHP version, and somehow maintain compatibility with the software. This assumes they even have someone that understands php and understands the huge number of exploits just sitting there staring them in the face. 4chan is going to be down for a while because the alternative is launching it with all of the exploits and getting obliterated within a few hours of launch over and over.
