What can they even do? If the sites compromised on the cellular level they have to kill the body now thats its completely malignant. They need to give up on the yotsuba software and switch to something more like 8chan where the users can make their own boards and moderate it. Trying to cram everything into a few dozen boards is no longer working and its just making the userbase bitter. There was a thriving Christianity board on 8chan but there is literally no space for it to work on 4chan. It'd be drowned by bot threads on /pol/ and its not suitable for /lit/ or /his/ as a general. If you're totally fucked like 4chan is you may as well be ambitious and start over from scratch better than before.

playing devils advocate here but /pol/ lost, it's completely unusable. When the goverment and the jannies team up they can completely kill a board if they want. And of course any political discussion is immediately called out as /pol/ posting on other boards since you can't have /pol/ threads on /pol/ itself.

Anyway, if you don't want to sift through the thread, here's the json of the linked accounts for his email. We've got such fun usernames as: "bakanekochan", "lulzicon", "wobbey", and even "jamesporn".

I believe there are too many MTF jannies for them not to be in bed with each other. So I don’t think he has to be a /vr/ janny himself to take over that board, especially since a lot of people in the thread are saying things went downhill on /vr/ after that Doom drama happened. That said, I don’t actually know who decides which boards each janny should be assigned to.

Marisa the Magician was a much bigger presence on /dsg/, since his goal seemed to be becoming an e-celeb by sucking up to streamers. So him working mostly on /vg/ makes sense to me. But you could be right too, it might all just be a coincidence. It’s definitely a path worth exploring for anyone trying to connect the dots between the two personas.

Imo, I think r/thedonald users migrating from Reddit and attaching to the board like a cancerous tumor is what truly spelled the end for /pol/. No decent political discussion could be had past that point, but, being honest, it's not like it was exactly "thriving" before then either. It was moreso driving the nail into the coffin rather than throwing the corpse inside.

I think everything changed after the Marisa incident. For people who don't know, a troon janny on ZDF called Marisa was outed as sexting with a 16 year old. It turns out there was a super group of moderators from every major Doom site (ZDF, Doomworld, etc) all conspiring together. What they wanted to do was hide any trace of Marisa's wrongdoings and force every website to take him back, on the grounds that he was being entrapped/groomed by the 16 year old. This all blew up in their faces and the ZDF admins handled it in the worst way possible. One in particular called Rachael basically said 'Yes, this happened, but it's been dealt with and it's over so stop talking about it'. Naturally, no one bought that.

A modder called Term had disassociated himself with the major Doom modding communities too due to an incident their jannies refused to intervene in, and it turns out Marisa was constantly acting like a sex pest towards him and no one would stop it.

So yeah, after that, I think they strove to get an even tighter net of moderation on anywhere Doom was discussed, including /vr/. I could easily imagine a Doomworld troon mod applied for a janitor position and is using that to suppress any talk they don't like. This is just my speculation and I have no proof.

Marisa is a cunt and all of the other Doom jannies were running damage control for him.
