I think I will need to not get as invested into my general threads as I used to. I would get mad when they were shitting up my threads with lazy avatarfaggotry, racebait, AI spam, cuckposting etc. the bait goes on, because I was trying to effortpost on my niche mongolion warfare horseback riding simulator thread.
I see I must take it much less seriously going forward I just have to space it out over multiple websites more.
It was very upsetting when people would respond to obvious bait, but happily I realize most of that is one guy just samefagging his post.
Jannies are gonna be super duper niggers when people go back too. Yuck.

I have been looking into the git logs. To track changes in a codebase you must provide a (user)name + email, these are stored alongside your code. There are commits from early 2012 to the hack, over 22k commits in total. (git logs here)

Besides some funny commit messages I noticed something interesting, in recent 4chan history (last couple years), only one user has been pushing updates to the code; "desuwa". Desuwa has 16k commits, a staggering 72% of the total...

Remember those fitbit trackers revealed there were tons of people in some underground base in the middle of fucking nowhere? Also, anyone /x/ or /pol/ anons remember Daphne Westbrook threads, the completely fabricated AI girl? A few days before 4chan goes down there were really good threads about the Westbrooks but they kept getting deleted. The original /pol/ spam threads appeared to be a lie about AI, time travel, and defection to China but to what end? And some of those pictures weren't exactly AI made but did have weird, possibly shopped anomalies.

Well the problem was the fact the forum software is so ancient it "prevented them from updating." But this could have been temporarily circumvented if they dumped it to something like a docker container with equally ancient packages to keep it running while they updated everything around it. Even a complete imbecile can ask ChatGPT for an action plan to deal with these issues. The admins of 4chan are lazy as fuck and probably incompetent as well, likely a case of promotion until they're past their skill ceiling as the actual people with skills moved on.
