Everything Elder Scrolls and Fallout were built under the Creation engine. So some people might have graphical preferences, immersion preferences, over game system preferences. Or might attempt to resolve the two with mods. Does anyone from /v/ play a game without mods these days? I rarely hear about it.

I stopped playing skyrim after the first quest.

It is very bland. When it came out, people would post [see: attachment] and I think it's an important comparison. Also, it doesn't help that everything in Skyrim is covered in snow, so there's little variety as far as the visuals are concerned.

The problem with modding a game into something unrecognizable is that you have to do it because the game sucks. Mods making it good are just underlining it. Also, TES modding is a painful process that involves prerequisites of very specific versions that are only hosted on MEGA accounts that have been gone for years. It's like working with Python, but only slightly less gay.

I despise looking like a Morrowindboomer but I genuinely think it was the best of the series, it hit the perfect spot of the PC RPG golden age of being just advanced enough to elaborate more deeply on the vast but shallow mechanics of Daggerfall, but not so modern that the demanding graphics forced them to simplify the gameplay.

The oblivion remaster fails to capture a key plot point by updating the graphics. Everybody having alcohol feral syndrome explains a lot, making them look normal breaks immersion.

oblivion could not be modded into a good game. Skyrim can get the cold and weather mods and crank up the combat difficulty until it resembles an actual video game

There's already weirdos calling it woke in the thread here, despite that being the only real change outside of visuals and the faggy recharging mechanic that every game has now. Despite TES being shitty, it's amusing me right now.

It's not that there's tons of woke shit in the game, it's that they felt the need to change it from male and female to "body type" at all. That in and of itself deserves criticism, and makes the creators come off as weirdos.
