It's already well known (prior to getting haxed) that with the new email verification they were lying through their teeth when it came to the emails not being stored
But from what I've seen over the years on 4chan, people get permabanned for "ban evasion" with no explanation. This happens on a couple boards, /v/ and adjacent, /r9k/, /lgbt/ etc.
I used to know a tripfag (if you don't know what this is, basically a drooling loser) who got banned for ban evasion in around 2023, despite never having done so and never breaking any rules...

The fallback to below 2019 levels is more significant considering how much more bot posting and fake users (india) has increased since 2019. add to that the overall decline of quality users and increase of low effort phone posting.
its finished. hurts my to head to think how bad it was and how much worse its going to get. the only consolation for the time wasted is knowing how much of their time and resources they had to invest to "win" and knowing that what they built there to do it is internet turbocancer.
