Given the difficulty in getting the prescribed medications from a doctor that Chris will not go to, the money to get them Chris does not have, the doctor being unlikely to prescribe Chris in the first place because of his autism, Chris looking literally the same as before minus the swollen chest, this all leads me to the same conclusion..

Undoubtedly, there's a degree of becoming "closer to a True and Honest woman" this way in his mind, compared to make-up or just getting laser hair removal or electrolysis.
Hell, even a change of diet and exercise could help with his skin and figure. But all these things take effort, which is Chris's greatest enemy.
Hormones are the most "passive" route perceived, which is ironic considering the complications.

If he is taking hormones, there'll be massive mood swings and mental changes as well. Emotional outbursts are a given, which means A+ content on the horizon.

Personally, I think in order to pull that off, Chris would need to be a little more savvy about SJW buzzwords, and general LGBT culture - actually, make that general human culture. Woah there folks, chill out. I get that people are worried about Chris's safety, but they shouldn't be.
I'm really not that concerned. I doubt Chris has the money or the knowledge to get a hold of anything serious. This is Chris we're talking about, and I'd be impressed if he did any research whatsoever on this stuff. The most likely situation is that Chris, being a gullible idiot, was ripped off and is now taking some harmless placebo shit. I think to assume otherwise is to assume a level of competence and savvy that he has never possessed. Even if he is taking hormones, the man is well past the point in life where we're going to see a huge difference.
