LGBT 5-12-2015: New Chris pics- comments indicate Chris is taking hormones

Do we think Kim is just yanking Chris's chain in the comments? Or does Kim have inside info that Chris is taking some kind of gray-market (best case scenario) hormones?
I also thought that as well. Frankly, if Kim didn't say that, I wouldn't have thought Chris was on HRT based on that picture alone.

I dunno if people from Impulse would encourage him, moreorless even talk to him.

I don't think anyone from the LGBT community honestly wants this.

I can't imagine anyone, gay, straight or whatever, suggesting that Chris, a casual acquaintance at best, acquire non-prescription (and potentially dangerous) hormones (much less procure them for him).

If, by some chance, a "fan" provided Chris with potentially dangerous non-prescription estrogen, then that "fan" needs a good hard smack up the side of the head.

I'll admit that I enjoy a good laugh at Chris's expense, but there's nothing funny about this kind of risky and irresponsible behavior, that could adversely affect his health (or worse).

I guess Chris knows about HRT after all

Then you are fortunately less aware of how gung-ho and without concern for the future a lot of activists are when people come to them with problems.

Huh, really? I'm not exactly shocked, but I assumed that his earlier desperation to get sperm banked was because he knew about hormones' effects on fertility and was already thinking about hormones. Was he just completely jumping the gun and thinking about surgery?
Oh, no, Chris was wanting to save his jizz because he wanted his penis lopped off.

It's also possible that he could simply buy it off someone. There are a lot of tranny drug dealers who sell a wide variety of drugs, including (but not limited to) hormones. Transgender people have higher rates of unemployment and being uninsured, which is why a lot of them turn to drug dealing and/or prostitution to make a buck wherever they can - especially if they're saving up for surgery or supplementing their own HRT. tl;dr - Money talks, trannies walk.

Anyone that crazy to suggest putting yourself in harm's way for a legitimate gender change is bound to be a well-known lolcow.
Absolutely no one (sane) in the Queer community would suggest that. People get in a tizzy when pre-op transmen use ace bandages to bind their breasts because of the risks it entails.

I really think this was Chris's own idea, just like macing the GameStop employee.

Google says there are informed consent clinics in Fredericsburg and Richmond. Those are far more likely sources than the black market.

Edit: OK, Kim's "order a second batch" comment makes me wonder, since you don't so much "order a batch" of legit hormones as "pick up a script." Either an informed consent clinic (rightly) rejected Chris, or he's too dumb to know about informed consent clinics.

All I know is that I've heard anecdotes about people with actual dysphoria but not actually sure if HRT is right for them being pressured. Chris would be easily convinced.

Informed consent doesnt mean that anyone can get hrt. They still wont write prescriptions for people with major mental and physical health problems.
