As I am posting this he's still tweeting, and again of course it's about MONNNNNNNNNNNEY

So that whole "only using Twitter for business purposes" thing lasted for precisely zero seconds, then.
This whole thing really reminds me of why DSP is the GOAT lolcow. He attacked dozens of streamers with a toxic and libellous claim, because he's a petty manchild who stopped emotionally developing at 12. This was completely unprovoked, as all the best DSP drama is. It completely blew up in his face, so instead of fronting it out and actually responding to criticism, he blocks tons of people, deletes his Tweet and tries to weasel out of it with more Tweets that no one will ever see, rather than actually directly reply to the people who are calling him out. It's yet another example of people giving DSP shit to his face (or at least directly to him online) and him running away and only replying once they can't get him anymore.
Even then, his non-apologies are weaselly and equivocating. "I was taken out of context! I didn't mean what I specifically said I meant! I should have been clearer!" No Phil, you sperged out after an all night boozing session and passed out at 9am. What he's trying to >imply is that he isn't actually a toxic shithead, he's just being made to LOOK like one because Twitter is an inherently flawed platform that no one can properly express themselves on. Like he doesn't say much worse long-form stuff on stream every single day. It's just this time, instead of insulting his paypigs who'll take it and throw quarters at him, he insulted dozens of very influential people. It is far, far from the worst thing he's ever said or done - like it doesn't even crack the top half - it's just this time the wrong people happened to hear it.
The bottom line is this: if Phil hadn't been called out by so many streamers, journos, and game industry figures, would he have recognised he said a shitty thing and apologised? Of course not. He doesn't think he did anything wrong, so he's not sorry for what he said. He's sorry about the reaction he got, though, because it just so happened to break out of his echo chamber.
He's passed the initial ignorance and hollow apology stages, and he's already at the 3rd stage of Phil damage control, which is starting to twist events to make himself the victim. "Waaaah, I'm going to get banned!" I imagine in a few weeks when this dies down he'll be making out like he's a pariah of the games industry because he's too honest and underground and the normies just can't handle him. It'll be all about how people manipulated what he said and made him the victim, and about how people are so easily offended. He'll show his true colours again on stream as soon as the heat is off, and backtrack on all his contrition. It's the Phil way.
