The first one was a third-person zombie sandbox survival game mostly about gathering a group to your base. Not sure about the second but it sounds like more of the same. Honestly I'm not sure why Phil's so hot for it, the days when this sort of game would draw a lot of attention ended years ago.


What I find odd is State of Decay 2 is basically an indie game. The first one certainly was, maybe I'm wrong about the sequel but I always thought of the company that made it as indie rather than AAA.

DSP is stupid and he always does this. His playthrough of the first game got good views so he thinks that he's gonna get the exact same amount of views as he's dumb as fuck. He thought the same thing with Yazuka and God of War. But he doesn't realise those same people aren't just gonna magically come back and watch him play the second one because a) He's a lot less popular and b) The zombie fad is kinda over, it was released during its peak, with The Walking Dead at its ratings peak, stuff like Day Z and the Walking Dead game out, it was all about zombies back then. Now people are over it.

We ALL saw this coming, its God Of War all over again. He pissed that no one wanted to watch him play game but rather play the game themselves.

I think a likely scenario is that a popular streamer is a closet Phil detractor. The original tweet had no tags in it. Streamers are a pretty tight knit community (networking aids growth, something Dave obviously doesn't do). So, once detractor zero gets that in his/her timeline it spreads like wildfire.

Would be interesting to know who it is.

Be infamous (hint hint look how many views DSP has on this forum)
Shit on every Twitch streamer there is by calling them shills, fake advertisers etc. just because they have the early access key, and you don't

At the top of my head, Cryotic, PDP, and uberhaxornova have made light nods in their content showing they know Phil exists. With how big those fanbases are, it was just a matter of time before a detractor passed the news to one of them after another high profile streamer did a take on Phil's whining.
