"Much win this night!" he thought while grinning through his smeary beard, rubbing it with sticky fingers. "I showed them all." The phone beeps. "Just this last one, please honeypie!" he begged while she threw daggers from icecold eyes at him. He knew they were late for visiting the museum. He brought the phone to life. What he had to read was... horrific. Immediately he could feel cold sweat breaking out and his tummy twist and twirl. After the last time he felt that way, he had to scam children three months in a row for spare change so he could still effort his XXXXL-bags from Burger King for snack time. But this, this was something else. This was a serious threat to his twitter career. Over 400 idiots and morons, but partial with no little power in the gaming industry, were screaching like furies at and berating him. "Me!" he thought. "Me! ME!!" He felt like throwing up while his little piggish eyes hecticly hushed through the staycation penthouse - like his thoughts did through his empty head. He felt like forgetting something. Or... someone? "Ka... I..." Her eyes widened in anger and disbelieve as if she knew what was coming at her. "I, I have to do something important honeypie, it's not my fault, there was absolutely nothing I could do!" In frustration, she started to silently cry. He didn't pay attention. This was an emergency, not a honeymoon. "Ok, let's try this..." he thought, letting his fat greasy fingers fly over the touchscreen, deleting the tweet he was so proud of hours ago. In agony he typed some halfbaked apologies. "NO!" he screamed inside. "These are NOT apologies! I did nothing wrong! These are... clarifications. Yes, this they are. And everything else had been put out of context!". His heart began to beat at a normal rate again. "You have done that countless times, you can do it again, you will survive." he monologued internally. "And on thursday its swaggin' an' beggin' time again! Morons!" He smiled as he turned to his crying soulmate. "Is dinner ready yet?!"

It's so true what tevin said about DSP:

He should be grateful he's (up until now) been an obscure loser nobody cares about. If he actually got the attention of the wider internet enough to fuck with him, he'd legit never have a moments peace.

Well, it hasn't exactly turned out that way but it certainly has been a day that proves his obscurity was his greatest protection. Seeing all these people shitting on him is fucking amazing and hilarious.

Got that fame you always wanted, Dave.

What makes it even more hilarious is that if this didn't blow up (i.e, only a few guys told him that he was being out of line), he'd just tell them to fuck off and block/ban them. But because he's been getting bummed by a lot of bigger streamers, he's gone into full bitch-mode and given the whole "I'm trying to be more pahsitive, guiz. Thanks for calling me out, doods!".

Phil's cowardice never fails to impress.

I am really curious how this will play out for him if he DOESN'T get fired from twitch. Could be that this will bring him much newcomers. And as we all know that the internet is a twisted place, there could be several vikings and queens coming with them. I am trembling with excitement.

Pseudo agree with this, but he got the attention of a lot of bigger streamers and people in the game industry, Twitch might have to do something to set an example. Optimistic, I know I know.

This was my attempt at writing a tweet at the 7 hour mark he noticed everyone hated him for it.

"Sorry for letting my envy get to me, I (obviously) didn't get State of Decay 2 and felt a bit left out! I appreciate all the other full-time streamers who reached out. It's incredible how much diversity stream viewers get now with who they watch and I'm happy to have been a part of this family for as long as I have. Still looking forward to playing SoD2 on the official release day!"

I think it'd be hard for people to keep poking at him if he tweeted something like that. We still would, but not people from fucking Bethesda and Ubisoft.
