Choose one and only one. Name a game DSP even remotely enjoys anymore, let alone loves

True. Even moreso now that every company has taken a swipe at him. I was speaking more generally about what it would feel like to an average person.

Sitting down to play the next Ass Creed with a little itch in the back of your mind reminding you that the company that made the game you're playing thinks you're a tard. You specifically. LMFAO.

...Heavy Rain?

He doesn't love Heavy Rain - he loves the money and fame he got from Heavy Rain.

Did Phil ever love games? Sure. But it's become clear now that he's so burnt out on the medium that unless it generates him tons of money he can't even pretend to be enjoying himself. Playing games is just an excuse for him to beg for money now. He's never immersed into a game's world, he never shows any passion or love for how great gaming can truly be. All he sees are the $$$ he can guilt trip his fans out of by playing them.

I can't wait for email leaks proving that game devs have been secretly paying streamers to shill video games, we all know its true and at least common in certain situations.

This is the fucking dumbest shit ever and the entire gaming industry and all streamers are a bunch of crybabys who spend 8/10ths of the day whining about dumb shit like what DSP thinks instead of making better video games.

Personally speaking, I'm team-DSP in this situation because he made everyone mad and its funny but I just wish he didn't fucking delete the tweet on account of a bunch of faggots on Twitter of all fucking places.

I also think the idea that he could ever get suspended or terminated from Twitch for this specific Tweet fucking ludicrous. The only world that would be possible is one where you let a bunch of faggots on Twitter run Twitch moderation when they're not busy splattering reaction GIFs that my great-grandparents used to think were funny in 1912.

DSP may be a shit person and a shit streamer but the other streamers are mostly shit too.

If DSP goes bankrupt from this then I hope every slow witted fucker from Twitch, Blizzard, Ubisoft, EA, Epic Games, Polygon and all the other exceptional ass streamers join him in the line at the fucking soup kitchen.

Also, I hope they cook the IGN employees and serve them at that soup kitchen.

He obviously had some passion for Street Fighter, since he played competitively. And he maybe cared about Earthbound, since he went full tard rage when people were saying the game was boring during his playthrough.

Everything else, and even Street Fighter now, is nothing but dollar signs to him. The past is whatever, you can make an argument that he genuinely liked some games. But now, it's all about the money.

Phil trying to act like he's a "true gamer" is like some guy acting like a true American patriot who loves their country because if they were forced to leave, they couldn't enjoy KFC anymore.

  • Agree
Reactions: Dirt McGirt
Another great part of this is that only half the people were mad about the "paid shills" thing.
Most people were genuinely enraged that someone was using "true gamer" as a label 4 fucking years after gamergate.
shat on for PAID SHILLS DOOD
shat on for TRUE GAMER DOOD
shat on for I SORTA APOLOGIZED DOOD
shat on for NOT STANDING MY GROUND DOOD

he's being hammered on all sides

The thing you have to remember though NP is that Phil didn't say the other streamers were shills because he has a problem with that, he only said that so his sad little cult won't branch out and check out other people to realize that Phil is the worst streamer alive and then leave him. He wasn't making some brave statement about how streamers should only be legitimate, doubly so because you know Phil would take the payday if he were ever offered it. Phil's just a bitch making brave declarations to his PR cult and then running away like a little faggot when real people notice him.

Are streamers shills? Yep. Is Phil "I got the chair lol" Burnell the guy to get behind in an anti-shill message? No.

I know he wasn't making a brave statement. I didn't read into it like that.

Its more than the mere accusation that there could be some sort of behind the scenes dick scratching between streamers and game companies made people extremely mad. That made it funny.

There are more elements of the "streaming community" that I do not like, noticeably, is that there was no outrage from these people when DSP insulted/physically threatened an 11 year old girl? But talk shit about a bunch of "affiliates" and "partners" on Twitch and all of a sudden they actually care?

My comments were more about the nature of moderation on Twitch itself and how the streaming "community" works with those.

I love how he states in one of his tweets that professional game reviewers are hard working people looking to provide a legit service. Dude, I don't attend many pre streams but when I do, DSP is always shitting on IGN because they get review copies. What a two faced mess.
Not even one month ago he was shitting on every single journalist receiving God of War early. Now they are hard working.
And streamers are not, even though he and Kat are working hard FULL TIME DOOD!

Yeah, fuck the Twitch """"community"""" for sure, it has definitely become about making cash from tardcum over anything else. Also the marketing managers getting triggered is a little telling. Still, it's a shame the person making the statement was DSP because 1) no one is going to get behind him and 2) we all knew he'd back down once he saw the heat.

This is what my point is in a lot less words:

https://twitter.com/BhilPurnell/status/996765246361452544

This is fucking retarded. All it proves is that its a hugbox:
  • You can't say anything politically incorrect
  • You can't say any racial slurs
  • You can't say other streamers are shit
  • You can't say game journalists are shit
  • You can't talk about people's blue beards
I don't care if Phil is terrible, that much has been established for eternity.

The problem here is that every single thing you say is against the rules, so what the fuck can anyone say?
