Sheeeeiiiit you guys are all concentrating on Doopie being all pissy that you're failing to notice the OTHER 9 girls he tagged that DIDN'T dispute his girlfriend day shout out.

First rule of fishing- cast a big net. :tomgirl:

That's because they are all "big time" actresses and writers, having worked on major movies and TV shows, except Ladybot3 who is supposedly another person working for Planet Dolan.

Y'all need to calm the fuck down with this "I BET SHE'S HORRIBLE TOO" shit.
Doopie is some random YouTube persona. I don't know shit about this Dolan Universe thing, but it seems pretty standard fare. Voice acting, top ten lists about nothing, commissions on the side for cash, merch....
Seems like Doopie decided to treat Chris as a normal customer making a transaction (a reasonable decision), Chris acted like Chris and was a fucking creep, and Doopie finally dropped the hammer and told him to piss off.
I get that people are weirdly protective of this 30+ year old man, but someone telling Chris to fuck off doesn't make them a lolcow. I've seen nothing to suggest Doopie is any weirder or more deviant than literally every artist of any medium I've ever known.
Yes, she's somewhat attention seeking, self-absorbed, and melodramatic. Welcome to dealing with artists, they are literally all like this, that's why they're artists.

He acted creepy towards a girl and presumed a relationship she never agreed to, at which point she told him to leave her alone. We've seen this happen repeatedly for the last decade, and it's always the same story.
Honestly, her only sin thus far appears to be that she gave him the benefit of the doubt, and was unaware of the teeming mass of weens and autists that follow him everywhere he goes.

When attention whores collide, huh?

Doopie brought this on himself/herself. Chris made his intentions clear very early on. He saw "darling" as a potential friend and maybe more. He threw money down the "doop" chute to get more personalized attention. It was clear as crystal.

The public lashing of Chris is unnecessary and unwarranted. A private discussion would be more appropriate, but that wouldn't bring more attention to doopie. gotta remember who this is about. nothing about this is impressive.

side note: no one should be bothering doopie for making chris things or taking his money.

It seems like the only winning move with Chris Chan is not to interact with him at all.

It very well may be possible that she already tried it and Chris didn't get the hint. Her being publicly going from 0 to 100 out of the blue says to me that all the rising tension happened behind the scene.

Alright, this is a reasonable objection. However, there's something of a flaw in your thinking here:
Name one time where a woman having a private conversation with Chris about his behavior has lead to him being less of a creep.
If anything, it'd reinforce his belief he has some kind of personal relationship with her.

Wow. I was a little surprised by the 'You don't know me' comment but it seemed relatively benign and a reasonable way to try and set a boundary (even though previously Doopie had basically ignored similar mentions from CWC) without being harsh. The subsequent tweets really stunned me, though. I though Doopie would continue balancing her desire to keep a well-paying 'customer' and image with not wanting to engage too much, but she really shut him down.

I have to imagine something changed that we didn't see, maybe in those emails. If Chris were smart he'd cut bait now, but I'm guessing this might not be the end and we might get some more info about what shifted things.

Eh, I have no particularly reason to believe this doopie person ever contacted Chris extracurricularly. I would bet she mentions the emails because she never responded to them (in addition to publicly shaming the TRUE and HONEST CREATOR.)

She doesn't know that though, even if she might suspect it: don't take everything on the CWCki at face value. There was no reason for this to be public except attention/ that (I think) this wasn't really premeditated, which further indicates to me there wasn't a private brush-off.

Don't get me wrong, this is some of the best Chris content in ages, but doopie seems like a clown too. If you gaze into the :autism: for long enough...

She's a semi-public figure. Privately contacting him sets an unfortunate precedent.
The point is to emphasize that they have no connection. Pulling someone aside to talk to them privately is something you do for people you know, not random strangers. She has no obligation to Chris, and if I read it right, him contacting her privately was part of her beef to begin with. Continuing the discussion privately just reinforces what she's trying to stop.

Fair enough, that just wasn't your initial objection. It was that it wouldn't have helped because Chris is Chris; which is also probably right.
I think all of Chris' correspondence should be public, so I'm okay with how this has played out. There is nothing too small.

This could be interesting. You can clearly see the cracks in Doopie's professional artist facade while dealing with Chris. Going public with mentioning private emails seems like a low blow, but I doubt Chris would get the point otherwise.

Still, that all might be a stunt to evade the attention of spergs following Chris from her and hitting her business. After all, Chris has a considerable following of harassing a-logs, shitting all over social media and tagging her, like @Michael J Hirtes.

She could do with some help from contacting Mary Lee Walsh. Mary Lee Walsh has remained professional this entire time, even after withstanding a public Curse-ye-ha-me-ha.

I really want to know the content of those emails. I'm thinking they could just be innocent but then again Doopie took the time to point them out openly instead of in a return email; maybe they're pretty damn bad.
I doubt they are. Probably the standard Chris not-knowing-boundaries crap. I'm not saying Chris wasn't hoping for a sweetheart, but I suspect it's more that he was over-friendly for someone he's never met. He also has a very stereotypical view of what femininity is, so he was probably using a lot of "dears" and "darlings" and heart emojis and talking a lot about feelings and love, the way them wimmens do.

This, but also the public nature of the lashing was entirely down to Chris. He was the one who decided to publicly declare that she was his girlfriend, so it's only sensible to say, in the same medium, "no I'm not." Given that she's a public figure herself, with plenty of idiot fans/haters, it makes sense for her to clear everything up. Chris wouldn't drop it, so she had to be more forceful.

It's a different set of circumstances, though. MLW was (may still be?) Dean of a college who was only dragged into the spotlight because one of her problem students put his one-sided feud against her in a comic which caught the eye of 4chan. It's not like she had any skeletons in her closet, and the worst effect it had on her was that if you Google her name, you get some juvenile Rule 34.

Doopie is a minor e-celebrity artist, probably fairly histrionic in her own right, of a generation that has a significantly larger Internet presence and whose chosen career puts her right in the path of idiots and stalkers. The only advice MLW could give her would be "Don't."

Her responses have all indicated she has definitely read up on Chris and is trying to be unambiguous as possible to keep from getting dragged into his sordid life.

Sensible strategy, given her options, but she would have been better off keeping him at arm's length from day one, since Chris reads any initial friendliness from a woman as a possible sweet heart invite unless made epically clear in advance he has no chance.

Whereas beginning a new friendship without the sexual expectation and later on if you feel like exploring with this person, and you tell them that, they will generally feel more success, as the relationship is progressing from a more positive start point of genuine friendship

So that's what Chris was doing with Doopie

Boy I wonder how many groceries Chris bought?

Probably a lot of bananas.

I swear any time a Twitter update of incredible caliber happens, some sort of "Twitter Mega thread" gets made which ends up getting redundant when the news posted there is so big of even more caliber it gets its own thread.
