At least they know about the dogs so if they feel they're not being well cared for, they'll be taken away. Then again, the dogs are how many years old now and still not house trained, and they're not socialized so they attack everyone they see, which is not a good thing if they take custody of the dogs.

Chris probably thinks taking care of a dog means petting it every once in a while, and someone else will do all the work, just like with Patti.
