I'm usually all for fucking with Phil, but I don't think he has anything to do with it this time. His top fans and certain mods do run gay ops on us, but they're not behind this, or do it at such a level.

to clarify, copyright claims only demonitize the video to my adsense, and any money it would generate goes to the claimer's adsense. They don't take down the video or count against me.

what makes me think this is some piggy ops is there are videos as old as 2018 getting claimed all of a sudden.

Pretty sure abuse of the DMCA takedown process is a felony.

From 17 U.S. Code § 512, Section 3(A) :

By submitting a takedown notice, the individual is claiming under penalty of perjury that they are authorized by Phil to file takedown notices on his behalf. Highly doubtful. Unless this person is Phil themselves lol.

It should be noted that each claim filed under this pretense would count as a separate felony.

I would follow the counter notice filing process for each claim made (though *may* have to share personal information, ugh). The upside is, the person filing the DMCA claim has 10 days to prove that they've filed a lawsuit over this:

When we forward the counter notice, we will include the full text of the counter notice, including any personal information you provide. By submitting a counter notification, you consent to sharing your information with the claimant. We will not forward the counter notification to any party other than the original claimant. The claimant may use this information to file a lawsuit against you in order to keep the content from being restored to YouTube.

After we process your counter notification by forwarding it to the claimant, the claimant has 10 business days to give us evidence that they've initiated a court action to keep the content down. This time period is a requirement of copyright law, so please be patient.

Not a lawyer but fuck whoever is abusing the process.

If you read his post history he alludes to being involved in taking down MRBTFO's twitter with DMCA's, they also follow each other on twitter and both obsess over mrbtfo (Superhound and This guy)
