A commercial that has been burned into your memory

AUTOFLEX LEASE OH YEAH!

A body lotion commercial that aired on TV. It would be considered softcore porn these days and even back then it seemed egregious. Can't remember the brand, but the bounty of sideboob and plump rump was laser etched into my 13 year old brain.

The fucking Freecreditreportdotcom ads still refuse to fucking leave the back of my mind. Most of them were somewhat creative, high effort ads, but then you had obnoxious fucking ads like this one.
You'd think this one would be less memorable, but then you're fucking reminded of it at the worst possible times.

So many memories. All I had to do was search "Boogie Oogie Oogie game ad" to find it.

The only reason I remembered it is because it used Boogie Oogie Oogie as the song.

It started as a Super Bowl commercial, and lasted a year or so. The company is long gone, but they had great commercials.

I’m surprised no one remembers the Ameriquest commercials.

I remember making fun of this commercial with other kids in my grade school class. We all mocked the shitty fake Italian accent of the kid... "Liddle bitta sauce, lodda bit of cheese." (If you were wondering, chef boy ar dee still tasted awful back then)

I remember when they did an ad that was obviously inspired by the 1988 film Cinema Paradiso....

Of course now I'm thinking of Sir Chomps-a-Lot, never had that.

That is really dumb! Reminded me now of the Lesko infomercials and that one with the fox!

Steering things around a bit, I discovered this ad that was rather familiar up in Canada years ago that I thought to share here! Apparently it was first aired around the late 70's but was repeated years later.

A google search brings up a page (archive) that states the commercials were for Herbalife - no surprise since those type of commercials usually involve an unnamed MLM, risky speculative investing, or anything but the easy money being touted.

That same link also claims the CGI mascot reminds people of furries/fursuits. :cryblood:

Whenever this commercial came on it made everyone tear up. Iams did another commercial like this a couple years ago so I guess it made an impact on a lot of people.

And now something for Valentine's Day! My mom, my sister, and I would crack up whenever this came on (particularly the part where he deepens his voice as he presents the necklace) and talk about corny it was. My dad on the other hand was super defensive about it, said it was really sweet and we just couldn't appreciate it, or some shit.

There was this channel awhile back called Cloo or whatever, it played a lot of modern mystery dramas like Criminal Minds, House, etc. Think USA but for only one type of content.

Anyway, they had the original Macguyver, and their ad for it was a guy snipping wires to a digital clock with dramatic music playing. By the last second a wire was cut and the display died. Cut to a woman going up to a disassembled microwave asking something along the lines of "ugh, what happened to the microwave?" Cut to a guy eating a TV dinner dressed like Macguyver with his head out of scene with the theme playing. Bah, I can still hear it now.
