I wouldn't mind writing articles for a wiki if that's the case. I used to write essays for History Class in HS so I could probably put those skills to use for documenting Exceptional Individuals.

Here because I was one of the few people who liked the Lolcow Wiki, but I understand why Null didn't like it: It took too long to set things up.
Thing is, we use a few things at All The Tropes to take a lot of scut work out of writing articles. We use the HotCat gadget for adding categories with a few mouse clicks. We use the Multiboilerplate extension to plop down the bare skeleton of a page with all the templates and categories filled in, all you need to do is pencil in the blanks.
If the Lolcow Wiki comes back (and the the database can easily be reconstituted from a dump of the tables of the current archived version if need be), then I suggest adding as many features to automate all the scut work details so all the average Kiwi has to do is write the content. We have a few other things that help as well, like a automatic link suggestion script that helps with adding existing page links in the edit window.
I think the wiki is the best idea for cows with lots of content, and for special cases like a certain tampon enthusiast, a special website or two would be great as a supplement. However, if the wiki comes back, it basically need to be as streamlined and idiot proof as possible.
Something like this except instead of a text tag, an alternate system like rating/flagging, but just dedicated for people who read what someone else wrote to indicate that the post has important info instead of just being a shitpost. Here's an idea. Have a tag which you put into posts, let's call it #wikiworthy. You'd have a bot that would scan the thread for #wikiworthy posts and add links to them to the Wiki article.
To make it work properly you'd perhaps need more than a simple tag. E.g. a date and a summary of the post would be good. That way the Wiki would have [Date] [Summary] and a link back to the original post.
It's almost like a reverse hyperlink. A normal hyperlink is <a href="url">summary</a> and the syntax means you can easily add in more attributes. A #wikiworthy tag needs at least a date and a summary and probably more things would be handy. So the syntax needs to allow for extensibility.
On the upside, if you invented the reverse hyperlink and it caught on you'd be able to look Tim Berners Lee in the eye and call him a faggot and, worse, a Limey faggot.
Your updoots are to the left . The "rewards" should only remain within the wiki. Cross platform bling will only cause more issues. If your only editing the wiki so you can get a fucking badge on the forum then please for the love of god go suck start a pistol.I have always been an advocate of a wiki as a proper way to organize information once a thread gets sufficiently long. However there must be some incentives for people to edit, even if it's as simple as a shout-out, or maybe a special badge.
Everything in this forum is a community effort but the initial work of creating pages is going to be laborious. Organization should be done through special threads (you can volunteer for a page) since I don't think expecting people to organize themselves will go well.
Oh so you mean like last time, when nothing got done? People need to stop being fucking lazy and actually fucking moderate the wiki. If your to lazy to moderate your to lazy to edit a wiki.If there will be a "Kiwi Farms Wiki," make sure that admins, mods, and supervisors are the only editors.
Otherwise, it'll be pure anarchy.
Probably wouldn't be that bad as long as users who have their own thread aren't allowed to make edits. If there will be a "Kiwi Farms Wiki," make sure that admins, mods, and supervisors are the only editors.

or here is a crazy idea, how about the people who are going to be sysops fucking do their job and fucking moderate the wiki. Trying to automate all of this and trying to keep people out is what lead to the wiki dying the first time. The answer to this isnt to turn it into a echo chamber where only those deemed worthy can contribute.Easy way to fix that. Have all users of the forum over a certain age auto-approved to edit (have the age limit of the account be left secret to prevent lolcows sleeper gaming the system). Automatically disqualify all users considered known "Persons of Interest" (dunno how it's set up, so this should not screw over Verified users, just PoI's, unless they have different internal tags here on the forum, I'm a Xenforo dumbass)
As a further layer of security, set up some abuse filters on the wiki itself to detect obvious bullshit like page blanking and set it to auto-ban any idiot who does that.
Tweak this further as needed, you basically have something actual kiwis can use with little threat of spastics trying to fuck it up.
Leonard Kleinrock did more for the Internet than Tim's limey ass ever did.On the upside, if you invented the reverse hyperlink and it caught on you'd be able to look Tim Berners Lee in the eye and call him a faggot and, worse, a Limey faggot.
