MATI Moai Garbage TMI Sperging Deviant Retard

A moai island head wearing a top hat with an autism symbol on it, sporting a scouter and a deviant smile while sitting inside a trash can.We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried. Most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad Gita; Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and, to impress him, takes on his multi-armed form and says, "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds." I suppose we all thought that, one way or another.-6,000,000

Sure, why not?

Exclusively posts deemed off-topic, as these posts obviously detracted from the discussion at hand. Was most likely removed since various other negative ratings were usually given to posts which were deemed off-topic by users instead.
Just a small correction on an otherwise very accurate post

This was removed because I wanted to encourage users to report instead of just rate posts off-topic.

Not sure if this is the right thread but sticker suggestions don't really deserve their own threads since there's way too many ideas out there than a need for them.
Would you guys think it would be worth getting a sticker for this:

When someone says something funny/interesting.
Like a "thung provoking" but more like !!!
Something that can encompass:

"Did he/she really say that" to "Haha, that was funny" and perhaps "shots fired"

maybe ish?

Could also be used for videos like this: https://kiwifarms.net/threads/2023-israel-palestine-armed-conflict.173114/post-16998638

Unlikely. Too redundant. The forum is generally looking to cut down the number of ratings, not add more.

I remain :optimistic: that one day people will realize :lunacy: is a :dislike:.
Well unlike the poster above (@0 2 ), I guess people feel that there's not enough reactions and so use various reactions to express feelings/sentiments more than using them as alternatives for reddit-like upvotes/downvotes.
Horrifying works for some things, but some things aren't horryfing,, they are just crazy so people use this instead.
I'd argue there are too few reactions but I know its the sentiments of a lot of people that they do want few.

Here's a perfect example of what you're talking about:

I voted that lunacy myself before removing the vote and just going for nothing for the reason you mention.

IMO You either have an extremely limited amount of reactions (Like, Dislike, Agree/Disagree and maybe "Dumb")

Or you expand reactions and focus on feels rather than the "score" it's supposed to give. A score that ironically nobody is supposed to "care about" except apparently it leads to this kind of stuff. In that case we'd need a couple more neutral reactions.

Because how do you rate a post like this?

  • If you go by what Null et al are intended (rating the post, not the content) then it's a very, very weak like. I mean the guy isn't really contributing much thoughts of his/her own, just a screenshot of something.

  • Now if you want to rate the actual content, then lunacy is appropriate, but you're giving the guy -points and you have this dilemma we're talking about.

  • Everyone just posting oneliners of "that's crazy" leads to spam so that's the worst option of the three.

TL: DR: Current situation is like trying to eat the cake and have it, suits no one and gives mixed signals. Pick a path and go with it.

You got me. I actually don't know what I'm talking about.

Ah, way to cut the legs from under a guy for no reason.
I said people feel differently from you, not that you don't know what you're talking about in terms of where the forum is going or what the intention is.

There's 15 people using the reactions in a way you don't intend them to be used in the example. 0 are using it "correctly".
"Deal with it".

The design and the vision are in conflict. Partly because there's two conflicting use cases with the emojis.

I am one of those that are guilty of rating based on the content a user posts or discusses versus the post itself when it elicits a visceral response from me. I'm of the thought that Lunacy and Islamic Content should not have a negative score associated with them if only because they're used similarly to Horrifying.

How can you see posts that you have reacted? I'm tryna find a cool post :)
