Yaniv was, in his defense, getting away with a fair amount of extortion in the kangaroo courts before he overstepped himself and had that backfire.

Tbh I don't actually think this is the case. Since the waxing shit, how many BCHRT cases has he claimed he was going to start and we haven't heard shit. I think they wanted to do the waxing cases because a) they didn't realize just wtf they were dealing with with Yaniv at first and b) Cousineau thought this would be an interesting landmark case to make her name on. Wrong wrong wrong. The HRT doesn't have to take on every case. They can decline and I bet they would if he tried to sue his fucking strata for levying fines against him for legitimate infractions. There's no interesting case there. I know everyone thinks Canada is super cucked and maybe some of the laws make it seem that way but it's not so insane that trannies can literally do whatever they want. How do you think so many wind up in jail that they've got activism entirely focused on how much they hate the cops for fucking with them? This is cut and dried. At the same time, I've heard some absolutely crazy things about condo associations in Canada. Idk what it's like in the states but it's my understanding that the kinds of people that run condo associations are generally the narcissistic yet powerless type that just need something, anything, to lord over others to make themselves feel powerful and have no problem making someone's life hell if it pleases them. Not everything in attorney does has to represent a client. If they're shitty MLM contract requires them to write letters they have to write letters. It doesn't mean they are required to name themselves or actively represent the person at all.
This absolutely reeks of a lawyer who had this bullshit come in to his office and this was the best way possible he could dispose of it and keep his trickle of money coming in from people scammed into prepaid legal.
