I don't think the CWCki is going to prevent those particular things any better or more readily than Chris's own obvious incompetence, total absence of critical thinking skills, and complete lack of co-ordination. (to say nothing of his driving record.) But I do agree that the CWCki might steer some otherwise clueless people to keep clear of him (like TWF).
 
Chris is never going to apply for a job. The only job he ever applied for was Wendy's. I'll never believe for a second that he applied at Target way back when. Having worked there for years I can tell you they will take anyone with two hands. Hell, they'll take anyone with one semi-working hand and two feet that can shuffle or drag under a wheelchair. He would rather be homeless than work. He will say he can't get a job because of the damn Internet but he doesn't apply anywhere and never will.

Additionally, you can usually use a shortened version of your name on the applications for the sorts of jobs Chris can do. So he can simply go by 'Chris Chandler', for which a Google search does NOT come out with the CWCki on the first page. He could go by 'CW Chandler', or 'Wes Chandler', or something that wouldn't bring the CWCki up in a search. Most jobs don't even require a middle name unless they're doing a background check. (In my experience anyway.) Chris is just too autistically averse to change to want to use anything but his full name.

He COULD escape the CWCki and ED and the trolls, even now. It would be hard but it IS possible. But he just... won't. He's an unfortunate combination of lazy and really against changing.

For that matter, his incompetence isn't going to prevent him reaching a position of responsibility as long as his unwillingness to actually work a day in his life prevents it first.

He won't do this because he's so attached to his identity. But he can't articulate this so he says stuff like, "I have business cards. Think about it. :c"

Maybe. I mean, :tomgirl: and :julay: were both leaks. And a lot of stuff is at least contextualized by leaked or hacked info, or provoked by trolls pretending to be someone else.

He can't even be bothered to get a new phone number to avoid all the julay phone calls from weens.
 
OK let's pretend for a minute Chris decides to dedicate himself to getting a job. Cwciki or no cwciki I'm sure if Chris showed the right attitude, drive to learn, and willingness to work hard I'm sure a small business owner would be willing to look past his internet infamy provided he kept where he works off the internet so the business wouldn't be harrassed with JULAYFAGS calling in every 2 minutes. But knowing Chris if he actually managed to be hired by a compassionate business owner he would want to brag to the trolls his achievement and then show proof. I know this might be a horrible thing to say but when Barb finally kicks the bucket it could only do nothing but good for Chris. I highly doubt Barb has made any arrangements for him in the event of her death but maybe Bob was able to make arrangements prior to his passing, who knows? I predict when Barb is gone Chris will become a ward of the state and be placed in a group home where he will have no choice but to abide by rules and restrictions or live his life in a padded cell with "clinically insane-in-the-minds". I don't believe he will ever become %100 independent but at least they would force him to start giving back to society and not just leeching off it.

I've met cats who have more business having business cards than Chris does.

He has business cards for the same reason that some people have linkedin profiles that they never use. They associate it with business, and maybe someone even told them that they should have one, but they don't actually understand its function.

True, true...and to our knowledge Chris hasn't yet doxed his current accommodations. This means that either

a) Chris is finally learning that he shouldn't be giving out his home address. If he hadn't practically handed out his life history, address, name, and everything short of his SSN, most of his troll battles wouldn't have happened.
b) Chris did dox himself, but only certain people know, and not leaking it to protect Chris (and whatever sanity he has left) from :ween:

Chrissy does come with alot of baggage but not all of it is his fault.

He can't really be held responsible for what the 'weens do and they would do their best to ruin any job he was foolish to brag about.

Of course this is all pure supposition we all know he will never apply for a job let alone actually get hired.

The answer for Chris has always been very simple: stop thinking about it. As Matthew Devoria once said, it's the fucking Internet. Who cares? Problem is that Chris is such a raging egomaniac that he can't stand that people see him as anything other than a special little baby who deserves to be coddled and taken care of forever.

As for getting a job, I think it's safe to say that collectively we've given more thought to Chris's employment options than he ever has and that's not changing. Even his current state isn't enough to penetrate his entitled mindset.

Part of me wants to think that in the beginning, Chris did not want the ED page to be taken down, he wanted it to praise him and got into that battle. And ED? Most people don't go to ED, so why worry? An employer certainly wouldn't.

Unfortunately, Chris didn't pick up on that, and in the process, destroyed his friendship with Megan, revealed way too much of himself, and everything went downhill from there.

Chris ignores anyone reasonable, and fights with people who he disagrees with in the slightest. He picks fights with ween trolls because he has the same mind.
 
Well, Chris has tried editing both ED and the CWCki to praise him, seemingly ignorant of the actual purposes for the web pages. Then there was trying to make all the edits trying to cause that "information overload" and get the page to crash/freeze/shut down thinking it would cause the trolls to give up. Obviously, anyone with even a cursory knowledge of how wikis operate would know that the plan couldn't have worked, and Chris just ended up fanning the flames.
