I am a new friend, so probably not the best to judge. But I can somewhat agree/disagree

If the survival of the forum was at stake, not hosting the specific dox would not hurt it too much. It would probably slow things down when it comes to looking into people's past though. I think not allowing addresses would be good enough of a show of good faith. After all, if we're talking about swatting, they are the most relevant piece of info, and don't contribute this much to the thread.

I still think that allowing people to look into cows' past and current identities on other websites is quite valuable though. The definition of doxing here is different from most of the retards" out there. Them subscribing to a hundred forums with the same username and spewing TMI all over the place being discovered is considered a proper dox by many cows. And this cannot be stopped for the sake of content. People's names and alter egos should stay.

Agree with all points. "Deadnames" are retarded and deserve to be mocked at every opportunity. If a cow uses the same username everywhere to post public opinions, well, those opinions are public. Fair game.

Don't get me wrong, you have to be a complete idiot to clout-chase on the internet, especially if you do it by sharing "controversial opinions". But I mean, what's the point of doxing? Okay, so you googled their name and copy pasted the info here. And? It's a pointless act wrapped up in important clothes. Either it's a direct threat, in which case it's actionable and therefore harmful to the site, or it's an impotent scream into the void, in which case it's a meaningless waste of time. Neither are great.

It's objectively non-threatening, though. Ceasing to post the information here doesn't stop it from being available nor does it discourage anyone who actually wants to take action.

I'm mostly working on principle here but there is some use for personal info. Now we can look at families, jobs, the community they're in, and why they are the way they are and how it affects those around them. On principle though the information is just that: information. It should be allowed to freely share it as anyone pleases. What an individual chooses to do is up to them, and it's not up to us to make things "safer" when, in fact, there is nothing happening on kiwifarms to encourage any of the acts that have taken place other than individual convictions which are not disseminated or given by the farms.

Just as all of these trannies are overreacting to what essentially amounts to a rag tabloid on the internet, some people who view the content here see it and take it personally. It's not unique to kiwifarms. It's not even unique to the internet. We can't save ourselves from idiots by preventing stupid ideas from circulating.

Murder, rape, child abuse, suicide, human trade, weapon trade, drug trade: you can find all of these things on the Big 4. Reddit, Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook have all hosted this content, sometimes for extended periods of time, and have never caught flak for it the way kiwifarms is right now. All we do is talk and share information and yet I could find multiple calls for violent action against any given group right now on big social media pages. I can find networks of pedophiles. I can find places where human trafficking is in the undercurrents.

Fuck the feds, fuck Keffals, and fuck anyone who's capitulating that maybe we're wrong. We're not. The forum is not wrong. Josh is not wrong. The information here is not wrong. Aggregating and discussing is not wrong. Having opinions is not wrong. There are far worse things out there right this moment that no one is doing anything about.
