Aaron's mom lives in a trailer (?) and she can't afford to keep the heat on (???)

And an incredibly boring conversation with his aunt.

It amazes me that he feels the need to document what appears to be every single phone call he has with his relatives...is he worried he'll forget them otherwise?

I think that behaviour, along with his constant mundane radio and television uploads is more to do with his OCD than anything. He feels a compulsion to categorise and archive absolutely everything even though obviously he's never going to return to watch them all again.

I personally believe Aaron uploads in such a high volume to satisfy his needs, not to entertain or inform anybody else, it at least helps explain the repetitiveness of his daily uploads. The amount of times I've seen him explain that autistic children act up in class because they think it's the right thing to do, unlike others who act up in class in his'Special Needs News,' videos in a month of following him is ludicrous.

Do we know what his first video is. It may provide insight into how he got this strange habit. I don't think he would be able to learn how to upload videos on his own

Aaron's very first upload was a bike cam video:

He seemed to really be passionate (or at least complacently sidetracked) about biking. As recently as a month ago he was still uploading videos like this calling his channel "the home of AaronKingwood BikeCam":

Outside of bikes, his first video of himself was a prayer video about the upcoming 2013 school year:

It looks like his obsession with broadcast media originally began with television, as the vast majority of his early uploads were all TV commercials and bits of news... which he of course recorded in the DarksydePhil style of filming his television.

This was his first "About Autism" video, uploaded on August 23 2013:

His first video about radio was uploaded on August 26 2013, about the "Air 1" station:

His first slideshow was the "My Slideshow" video from the OP, uploaded on August 30 2013:

Aaron's obsession with uploading the same scripted videos began on August 31 2013:

It's interesting how in the first about autism video he pronounces autism correctly. I wonder when he made the pronunciation shift to "autsim"

Not to rain on your Parade. But, i believe i found the VERY first Official UPLOAD from Aaron.
(Nov. 5th 2011, on his First channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/Aaron32362/videos)

Not to mention it shines a GIGANTIC light on his situation with his mother as well.

And this much "newer" video

(from two months ago on a separate channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCu9XI6DyOT5bK8PJ8TjVYzA)

PROVES that he's aware of how many videos he has uploaded, and officially may be a personal goal for him, that he's trying to achieve.

But otherwise, I totally agree with your theory on his obsession with media and music and Youtube as a coping device.

My guess is: when he took those videos he was in school (he was praying for class in one or some shit) he had regular human contact beyond his grandparents and sister (if she lives with them) and was encouraged to practice personal hygiene, after he left school his social circle seemed to have just become his grandparents and occasional phone calls. Because of this he seems to have regressed quite a bit including his speech (maybe in school he was taking speech lessons to help him talk more normally I dunno depends what programs the school had) which is why he sounds so bizarre.

He seems to be interested in school buses.

The decline in health and hygiene has to be from being cooped up, but is regression as a human being even possible? Maybe I'm a horrible person for this but I honestly can't comprehend how someone can get worse at skills they use every day of their life. Additionally, American English is the standard in television, which he has on constantly.

Yea skill's even basic ones atrophy without being used, look at people who have been in Prisions or other establishments like the more extreme nunneries and alike wher they take a vow of silence they might go in being wonderful singers and superb orators but that skill is either lost or completely blunted as your brain discards knowledge of a skill as it isnt used, hell on the more extreme end of this people who have been made blind by a accident that have had sight returned to them have problems matching up knowledge of a shape to what a shape visually looks like and that can last for some time, there was something about this recently on one of the BBC Radio 4 Scientific shows I'll see if I can find it as it will answer your question better than I can.

You just described atrophy of skills people do not use. This is not Aaron's situation.

Look no further than Chris for an extremely well-documented example of this. He was a weirdo in high school/college to be sure but even his basic skills have slid into nothing ever since he stopped having scheduled reasons for mandatory socialisation. And you can't possibly believe that watching TV and making scripted, minute-long videos is a substitute for talking face-to-face to an actual human being.

Your right a slightly better example would be OPL's grasp of English, since he's left school it's got progressively worse he hasn't stopped talking or writing but he's more and more isolated and it's getting worse, Another would be something like some one who was a very active typeist who then leaves the work place who still uses a computer at home but not often enough to keep as proficient as they once where they still type well enough but their speed and proficiency isn't what it once was.

Edit: Damn @Peace and Harmony Nija'ed me.

I don't mean TV as a substitute for human interaction, that's obviously not going to work. I mean TV as a learning tool for how to speak. I ditched my region's shitty dialect by learning from TV. Am I being awful for thinking someone should be able to at least mimic?
