collected all ace records, here's some of the amusing or interesting ones (in my opinion).

Aces on Mission 29 and 30 read like the synopses to episodes of The X Files.

I'm liking the Mig-31B a lot. Irksome that it takes so long to get Zoll, its actually roughly 1800 a match besides scrambles giving 7000-8000.

Lots of grinding, but it flies well and the long range missiles really are the best for scoring online and its got a ton of them.

I'll take it, anything to get Bamco to pay attention to the abysmal state the PC port released in.
When was the last time a Bamco game DIDN'T release on PC in an abysmal state? I only preordered because it's the cheapest way to get a legal copy of Zero, fully expecting it to take a few months of patches for them to actually get their shit together (as is literally ALWAYS the case with Bamco)

Won't lie, it lowered my expectations for the game a bit.
It kinda reminded me of AC5 cutscenes, but what I've seen so far lacks any kind of pathos. Felt pretty aseptic and stiff.
Music did some real heavy lifting in the trailers, the complete lack of any kind of BGM for the majority of the opening doesn't really help.
Never doompost. Game was great.
I'll maintain though that most cutscenes have a weird pacing to them. And the story while fine could've had a bit more going on.

I bought it you bastards. I liked 7, was fun. This has been the only game I've been hyped for all year. And it comes with Zero, which is awesome.

Beat it, gameplay is probably the best its been but I felt like they could have done way more to connect it to AC3 (especially since this game was brow beating corpo takeovers).

The massive lack of Neucom and Dision were a pretty massive letdown. Around this time is when Dision is a war hero for GR's conflict in old Belka, you'd think there would be calls for GR to get involved. They tease this with the satellites being a global threat, but never pulled the trigger.

Neucom are also meant to be getting motion in 2030, its about when EASA gets privatised and Erusea becomes a corpo hellhole. The Expo City mission spells out how GR wormed its way into occupying it (probably under the guise of revitalising the city), but yeah not as much as I hoped would be there. They had a real easy bridge to tie in Dision and GR to Expo but I guess they might be going another direction with it or just wanting to keep up the vague tie-ins.

They were a lot more direct with the AC3 references in 7 though, so it surprised me how distant they were this time around.

Tasha was surprising, they should have done more to hammer in how miserable everything was for her after deciding to ditch her way off the boat to keep flying. It was nice she at least had a semblance of a character arc though. Everyone else was pretty meh. Feels like they've lost touch with what made guys like Dision, Simon, Pixy and the AC5 crew more likable.

FWIW I actually liked Sotoa as an enemy nation. I got more Mongol vibes from them than sand niggas. The stuff about their homeland collapsing from industrialisation overtaking nomad tradition is probably a throwback to how leaders post-Genghis tried to turn Mongolia into a cultural and trade hub (and failed). The Land Tank missions were pretty kino too, especially watching one do burnouts at the base of the Lighthouse trying to collapse it lmao.

Shame it crashes like crazy too.

Overall really loved the missions and flight engine, but just kinda let down with the story as a whole. The POV was a total mistake too, go back to narrative cutscenes next time please.
