Ah, yes, this G4 reboot is coming along exactly as I figured since this is how these reboots always go.
1. Court the original audience in your advertising.
2. Make the actual product alienate the original audience and, instead, cater to a niche audience that doesn't actually care about your product.
(Optional 2b.) Get ripped apart and boycotted by the niche audience for a small perceived misstep since all they're in this for is to call attention to themselves and take credit for destroying something "evil"
3. Fail miserably.
4. Blame the original audience and/or white men for the failure.
5. Repeat with some new thing people used to like.
