With all due respect, you're incorrect. Canada has some of the lower standards out of any country. Look at how many categories there are:

The United States pretty much has only three general pathways of immigration.
- College and extended stay
- Have half a million dollars
- Have a Masters or Above degree.
Canada has a bunch of pathway options, including the "caretaker" which amounts to applying to a job overseas and this is on top of the fact that if you have skin a shade Darker than a Scandinavian you can qualify as a refugee.
