I dunno about that. I’ve been homeless before and it wasn’t too hard to find a place to sleep. Shelters or tent cities once I even bought a dollar burger at an 24 hr fast food place so I could sleep in a booth there. It wasn’t fun, but I didn’t have to live with a roommate who shits himself while he bounces and squeaks. Plus, if you talk to the right social workers (which have to be easy to find in Portland), you can usually get into some sort of housing program where most of your bills are paid for by taxpayers. I certainly think that sounds better than having to smell Philthy all the time

Good documentary, but he's mixing up the timelines. I won't do a full dissection of info, but here's some context for some parts:

The oedipus complex thing became a recurring meme because 789chan users were making fun of him because of bitching about his mom constantly. It also didn't help that another lulcow at that time - Anthony "A-Log" Logatto - had some cringeworthy posts about his momma as well. It's common knowledge in CURRENT YEAR that manchildren usually have issues with their momma, but it was 2011-2013, and the internet was at a different place.

Ropeman was a cringey concept from Edgelord lulcow, "Robert Wayne Stiles" aka Rika Stiles. Rika was the stereotypical dweeb millenial at the time - he loved edgy humor - and typical nerd sci-fi of the time like Stargate and Resident Evil. Rika uploaded a "funny video" of him bringing back ADF after he got bonded out back to his apartment in Center City at the time.

The apology video with the neon green scarf was because ADF attacked Maria Pupo publicly in a bookstore by trying to grab her wrists very aggressively. The trolls+trans community were on his ass for committing possible Domestic Violence, and forced him to do an apology video. Even Rika joined in on pressuring ADF to apologize for it.

The Korrine saga happened because somebody was alluding to be Korrine in a 789chan thread and started to make fun of ADF. ADF doesn't take being lampooned very well and started to make videos back about it.

The Michael "nudes" were funnier in a broader context as Michael was a 17-18 year old runaway FTM at the time who decided to go to Philly to meetup with ADF(ADF started the relationship when Michael was 16 and he was 26, IIRC). They were mooching off of Rika and were living with Rika at the appartment at the time. The crash from meth absolutely sucks, and you feel tired, achy, and short-tempered for days after even a brief period of meth abuse. Was never a huge meth head myself, but grew up in the rural northeastern US where "poor man's coke" was popular as nose candy. (Warning: the shit is like wasps in your nose if you try snorting it). If you've been binging for a long time, I'd imagine it would be a lot worse.

That being said, getting off meth is still a walk in the park next to an opiate kick, and a veritable kiss on the cheek next to the shakes and panic attacks you get from even mild alcohol withdrawal.

Is a good start, Dawisha takes an unblinking and well researched and more importantly extensively (exhaustively) referenced view of what has happened to the assets of the former USSR. Basically, a group of ultra-predatory capitalists have appropriated most of the wealth. This I'm sure is not a surprise to anybody here. But the idea that Russia under Putin is in any way at all socialist is now a fairly unsupportable viewpoint. About the only remnant of a socialist past is that it is still a repressive regime with little regard for human rights.
