So, a group of about 10 people meet up and talk about imaginary politics in the street. Some put bandanas across their faces cos that totally means they're 100% more tough and scary. One re.tard at the back (there's always one) takes it too far and dresses up in military gear. He even has a megaphone - not that it makes any difference.
To Phil this is probably the most exhilarating thing he's ever done - a real protest! Defending the streets! Proper military duty! To everyone else, it's just a group of people like any other, walking down the street of an afternoon.
You just know he was all over Mastodon after this, crowing about how he defended the streets from hordes of nazi gangsters. And not, you know, just meeting up with friends and talking and walking, like normal people do every day.
Nice to see Phil, the guy in his mid-30s, still hanging around with young people. Ever the eternal edgy 15 year old. Reckon these other people know about Phil's history?

That whole scene reminded me of something I witnessed while down in Tampa visiting family a few years ago.
Eight or so neo-fags larping as fascists decided they were going to have a demonstration in Ybor, in between one of the parking decks & 7th Avenue.
I still have friends that work there, and we happened to be smoking outside on their break when four real skinheads showed up; legit hammerskins iirc. They didn't approach directly, we just noticed the guys had been watching from the alleyway beforehand, and one literally had to tap a larper on the shoulder from behind. Startled the piss out of em.
Not many words were said; no punches or curbstomps, just a couple of gestures, and those neo-fags simply evaporated. They also left their shitty signs, flyers, and stickers. Those were gathered up by the regulators, deposited in a trashcan at the end of the block, and then had the contents of a soft drink poured on them.
That shit would never happen with Antifa. I've seen hardcore blackbloc types roll right past people like Phil, even encouraging them, not understanding that having walking potatoes representing Antifa is bad optics.

One of the most violently hardcore sets, too, which was why the non-violence of the encounter surprised me, even considering that part of Ybor isn't exactly on the main tourist drag & cop-patrolled areas around Centro & along 7th.
If anything can be said about serious nazis, they are a lot more dilligent in policing their own in public. Leftists just accept anyone & anything they say, as long as it means extra bodies.

Nazis are actually really good about that. They know what gets them shut down. They don't do it. They let the other side do that, not because they're pacifists, which they aren't, but because they're used to being incredibly unpopular and knowing how to use their status to look better than they should.

Apologies to management, but that's a bad definition of a rat king. A rat king IRL is a group of rats that hang out together until they get their tails tangled and glued together with shit, so they have to go around everywhere en masse (possibly mythical, though there are supposed specimens in museums).
The exceptional people in this forum (the rats, as it were) are associated with other exceptional people in this forum thereby forming a rat king. Phil is connected to Toren, who is connected to Tim.
