There's a certain amusement value in the irony of a supposedly progressive, Earth loving, peaceful group of hippies that is notorious for leaving giant messes behind, wrecking national parks and other public lands, having inordinate amounts of violence, and dealing hard drugs like meth and heroin.

I always love it when hippies think they can kick someone's ass. I mean, it's not like the Lakota have a history of combat and warfare. Or that they could and did make the cavalry piss themselves. No no, they're just some small group of peaceful, subdued indians that couldn't possibly be just looking for an excuse to beat some paleface's asses.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. I do experience dysphoria, who said I didn't? And I do have a place to live. This is a permanent housing solution for many people. There's some people in my building who have been here for upwards of 10 years. It's just not ideal for me.

My favorite bout of little known facts when it comes to those that fetishize indigenous peoples from North America is that the Cherokee owned slaves. They did so before Europeans even came off the boat too, though much like the Europeans early on, treated it more like indentured servitude. They, along with the other Five Civilized Tribes (Cherokee, Choctaw, Muskogee, Chickasaw, and Seminoles) owned African slaves alongside the plantation owners. But don't tell them this.

Nearly all tribes had slaves. Though like you mentioned most treated it like indentured servitude and not deep south, whip-you-if-you-don't-pick-my-cotton, plantation owners.

As mentioned by @MrsFrizzle , that came later on. But again, that flies in the face of whatever dumb thing they'd complain about, so they won't talk about it/ continue the attack as if that was never said.

Apparently he still can't marry his boyfriend because they would lose some of their free money. According to the article, they are entitled to "health care, housing, and income security to meet our basic needs, with enough left over for trips out to the Pacific Coast to enjoy the sunset."

In other words, our free money should the government should give us enough money to not only have most of the stuff that everyone else already has to work for, but should give us enough for vacations as well from the jobs we don't have.

Why ADF decided to share this when there is zero chance of anyone besides @tweaker the cat ever wanting to marry him is anyone's guess.
