Funniest part to me is that this pretty much guarantees any type of marriage for a tranny. They can get married as homosexuals, or as heterosexuals depending on if they transitioned/ whatever their personal preference is.

This is about on par with feeding a cat veggies only in terms of stupidity. That is to say, it's quite stupid, is a side effect to having a toxic echochamber, and is tragicomically uninformed.

There's just no way to spin this as bad for TG people. But these idiots have somehow managed to do it. What did they want, for the Supreme Court to unilaterally declare all prejudice to be over for now and forever? WTF.

I know a lot of surgeons will refuse to do surgery if you don't have housing to go back to. I live on my own and don't have any family to support me after my own surgery, so this is a thing that I may be struggling with myself.

Surely you're joking, if that happened they would never be oppressed, and they would then lose all will to live.

Because clearly being trans means you can get away with being a dickhole during a speech, since I'm pretty sure those weren't the words that person was using during said speech. It's doubly stupid because this one incident is apparently so bad that it outdoes the fact that about 30,000,000 or so people are now guarantee'd the ability to marry (that's the whole of LGBT if you're wondering where I pulled that number from) and share the same struggles and bonuses that the average schmuck has.

I got married. We got married before I came out, and now that gay marriage is totes legal and whatnot, it just means it can't be delegitimized.

Oh. Yes, but it's small. Portland's homeless housing solution is SROs, or Single Room Occupancies. It's a small 10' by 13' room with no kitchen or bathroom (they're shared. And disgusting). And I have a cat, who I wouldn't be able to take care of all drugged up on anesthesia and painkillers. So when I have surgeries I go to Grandma's house to recover.
