Adi Shankar Thread - The Uwe Boll of animation.

  • 🔧 Actively working on site again.
As if you can't hate pajeets enough.....this soul-sucking, socially-awkward hack is the peak pajeet autist who thinks he's a "misunderstood genius."

Never give your money to people like this guy. He'll take all the credit and would probably fuck your pretty girl cousins on the side for his usual "bobs and vagene" fix.

The real reason he gets away with it isn't because of Netflix, it's because his dad was the CEO of Standard Chartered's European and Asian divisions, Vis Shankar. Vis is also now the CEO of a massive investment firm across Africa, Eurasia, and Southeast Asia, Gateway.
I've come back, two years after this post, to mention two things:
1. Adi Shankar has been having a very hard time that one could only describe as "Max Landis-esque." The least offensive thing he's done lately is admit he specifically chose to adapt Devil May Cry because he thought the franchise was dead, and was very mad when he learned DMC5 was releasing because it meant he wouldn't have as much control over the property as he wanted. Below is a video of him admitting to exactly this.

This is also very likely why he targeted the very-dead Castlevania IP, to note.

Additionally: Through my not-interested-in-PLing-about means of familiarity with him, while I can't verify anything (So treat this as a banal rumor), I can say he's apparently been far more hostile and reactive to people in-person and off-camera. I expect a public (but ultimately very uninteresting) meltdown within the next year.

2. My statement quoted above about his CEO father is I believe being memory holed. If you look up "Adi Shankar" "Vis Shankar" or any variation you will only find this thread and no articles mentioning it. Any truncation or modification would get you information on the Indian philosopher of the same name. His Wikipedia article serves as the only remaining, live non-KF source of the statement about his familial connections and I wouldn't be shocked if he tries to get it removed, as the article itself now 404s and redirects to the AsiaOnline homepage. If I were a less retarded man back then, I would've archived everything in very high quality.
...Fortunately, I am a less retarded man now, and while the original article is gone, the wayback machine not only has its textual contents archived, I've added the Wayback Machine copy to archive.today and ghostarchive, I've also uploaded the HTML of the Wayback archive as a local archive of sorts, attached below.

I think Adi might become a DFE risk but it's too early to say.

Lol I realized his lady is a ripoff of the swearing chick from Angel cop

I know objectively Adi is probably a terrible person. However, I seem to have a guilty pleasure for the work he's a part of.

On his way to make Duke Nukem Forever look like a dream

Needless to say, a lot of people responsible for the creation of Duke are fucking pissed.

I have not seen this kind of hostility towards an IP a company helped groundbreak since a certain Postal 3 Easter Egg in Postal 2: Paradise Lost.

EDIT: Other oldschool devs are being no kinder.

A few tweets with Shankar acting like a spoiled brat kid.
You haven't even posted the best ones from his (as I correctly predicted) incredibly boring public meltdown.

He's going to write this off as "trolling" but he's also a 40 year old man and son of a billionaire so it just looks embarrassing.

who is the father?
because there is no way this faggot got to this point through anything resembling merit
As posted earlier in the thread, Adi's father was formerly the Standard Charter CEO, now he's one of the four guys running a company called Gateway (archive). It may seem initially far-fetched but I linked an article earlier that mentions Vis Shankar was the Standard Charter CEO, and this video (archive) here shows Standard Charter CEO Vis Shankar working in Africa. Gateway similarly focuses on development in Africa and it's clearly the same guy.

Also he just straight up looks like an older Adi.
