I honestly had no idea about this. If it means video games are coming closer to or even just being influenced more and more by "high art" that makes me happy.

Doing a little detective work, Disney's Saludos Amigos , the film on the theater marquee back there, debuted in 1942. And I can't imagine it wouldn't have a first run screening in a major city, so, that's probably early WWII, 42' - 43', and the late 30's is about when decent (though washed out to our modern eye) color camera film became widespread for "everyday" use. Oh, and I somehow missed the "BUY WAR BONDS" sign on that other wedge-shaped building on the corner in the background..... so yeah, unless you can prove me wrong, 42'
