AI Art Seething General

Thanks for providing that "fixed" artwork
Sticking this here again because the artist seems fairly content to just milk this for attention. Considering that this post got 10x the likes that their art does on average. And still continuing to pretend as if the 0 follower 1 day old account obviously made to fuck with people is a serious threat to anything is just retarded. Yea every single one of the 40,000 people who liked this post should go out of their way to block someone who very clearly doesn't give a shit about that account. I mean I can click one button and be in a new country and it takes about a minute to make a new proton account and use that to make a new twitter. In the grand scheme of things it takes you longer to screenshot the bait and post about it than it does for someone to make a new account.

And here's the skinhead nazi tranny version because I couldn't think of anything else to do with that image and editing it into being pregnant or having a shitted diaper or something would be just not worth the effort.

And obviously the Twitter safe anti AI version because I don't want my hard editing work to go to waste.

Someone did suggest pretending to have made an nft out of these images to piss them off further. I have failed Terry, I am too much of a nigger to know how to use computers good I know jack shit about html and just couldn't replace the image so I had to photoshop in the image instead lol. But roughly something like this.

I have had an interesting conversation with a family friend regarding AI at a dinner (he's into that stuff). He made an interesting comparison with the AI and diamonds. At first, natural diamonds were very hard to get because people will have to mine for them, then the mining corporations were getting rich. Then along came more accessible lab-created diamonds that were cheaper and yet making good money because more and more people can get them. But what do many people prefer, too? The natural diamonds. Therefore, the people will still give high demand for the more natural thing in the end, even with artifically-created things.

Same will go for AI. Proof AI will not fully replace artists? The autistics constantly point out what the marks of AI-generated stuff are in a drawing. People at the end of the day will prefer to commission human artists if what they're worried sick about is commissions as independent artists. It's those working corporate jobs with graphic design who can be more worried. However, as unfair as it is, the CEOs and business owners will always see them as replacable, even with AI. But it cannot be denied that even AI will require that human touch.

I have seen this statement from other people here on Kiwifarms and outside and I must repeat it, this is a difficult truth, but let's face it: with animu and furfag commissions don't sell nowadays, art doesn't sell. I love art from all different eras, but it's a difficult truth out there.

Also, I've noticed those who panic about AI copying their art and get their art copied by AI are usually those with an anime-esque or video game style. As in, that super-clean, smooth style that is very soft and usually works only with female characters in their 20s. I've also seen those idiots overlay "funny" images in locations of their art to keep it from getting copied from AI. As if those AI bros don't have editing software, screenshots, and eraser tools at their hand oh wow. Here's the thing: cutesy, soft animu and furfag styles all in the same poses are easily copied by AI. But, if you have a distinct style, particularly one that's rougher around the edges or with sillier proportions, it may not be copied that easily. Believe me. I once ran Vivziepop's artstyle in openart.ai as a style reference and it couldn't be emulated that accurately. I even had a prompt to generate a character in Alex Ahad's Skullgirls art style and guess what? It sucked.

TL;DR: Deep down, many people will always prefer human-made stuff like how some prefer natural diamonds over the articial diamonds and FOR FUCK'S SAKE try experimenting with distinct, unique styles outside the comfort zone to safeguard from AI. Also, art doesn't really sell well in today's world - it isn't the Renaissance, bitch. And besides, the Renaissance artists that had the opportunities given to them are the minority.

@Mad Hunter That is true: people generally tend to have an affinity for hand-made stuff over "mass produced" good if we can even call AI art that.
A lot of the interesting stuff with AI in general is not the output itself but the research that is done to reach this level of accuracy regarding the prompt and the desired results.
Decades have been spent studying and research AI (just look at LISP and its relation to the artificial intelligence field) and artists just do not and refuse to comprehend it.

But what do many people prefer, too? The natural diamonds. Therefore, the people will still give high demand for the more natural thing in the end, even with artifically-created things.
Worth noting that diamond mines intentionally undersupply the market to keep prices high which ironically keeps sales high too because of perceived value. With diamonds people want something expensive regardless of actual value, the entire purpose of the diamond is just to be expensive, or the fact that diamond rings are very new and basically invented by the diamond mines. It's similar to all the images of people thinking that AI stuff is human made because the style isn't generic anime, or the people thinking that real art is AI generated just because someone said it was. Same goes with diamonds, people don't actually care, nor can they tell. Give someone a cubic zirconia ring or lab made diamond and they will be over the moon as long as you pretend it's real.

In the case I stated, it's because people are running drawings through AI-checkers to see if they are human-made. That's why I used the diamond allegory, assuming we have a group of people who actually care if the diamond is real and will run it through a tester.

Similarly to AI art and human art, people outside the circle will most likely not care too much whether the image is AI or not, just like with the diamond as you mentioned.

It's just something I researched a long time ago so don't take it as gospel. Still, I have no idea why this dude claimed communists hated art. They loved the stuff. Soviet cities were planned with access to theaters in mind, for example. And someone had to draw those big murals and posters they loved so much. Most communist governments made big pushes towards getting their people to appreciate art, I guess because it was cheaper than actually improving their lives in any material way.
Because art from the past shows that lives were good and ok before they came to power.
Communists want others to think that everything began with them, before that, people ate mud and such.
Theaters were only made for caviar socialists elites.
Regular workforce never got time off to enjoy something like that.

Ngl I haven't seen anyone using any of those things. I've only seen people go full schizo pointing out random mistakes and jumping to the conclusion that it's AI generated, or doing so for actual AI mistakes. I've never seen someone pull out an AI detector like with text for images. Probably because it would have a similar 0% accuracy rate.

They all claim to have run these things through AI checkers. I won't believe them 100% until I've seen them.

I tried. That image he is talking about gives a 20% probability. I stuck a load of other art I had downloaded into the same thing and it gave 1-5% chances. Some of the AI stuff I've made got instantly 99%. The joke blackface edit from a few posts ago only got 40%. So far I've got a range of 20-100% for actual AI stuff and 0-60% for real stuff. So yea pretty shitty consistency

Thought I'd just experiment a bit further. Here's an image that the call out account posted of his art.

Once again the post he was making a callout about got only 20% on this same detector.

Then, they go, "Oh no because 20% means there's still a chance no matter how itty bitty!"

Well, you can't do anything about it. For me, unless you see it with your eyes, flesh, blood, and bone, that the artist was actually drawing it and not running anything through AI, then you don't jump to conclusions all of a sudden. I know AI checkers, but the thing is, they run on AI, too, and AI can make mistakes. The only solution is to chill out and stop sperging over whether another artist's drawing is AI or not. If you have faith and integrity in your own human-made art, you should be fine with yourself.

The main solution is to just embrace the cubic zirconia lifestyle and just stop giving a shit. I mean idc the original post was cool and that's all I care about.

Actually no. The main solution is to remove this person from the internet entirely.

Imagine being the person that made the original post. Imagine having your actual career damaged because some retarded literal child made some shit up. My guy you shouldn't be worrying about AI or not you should be worrying about your fucking homework or something. There is no reason why a 14 year old should have any social media at all.

This makes me want to pick up a very ai art-style just to fuck with Twitter people. The ai purity culture is so retarded that it's hilarious.

Remember to add an extra finger every once in a while to really fuck with them.
And more subtle things like the wrong number of joint creases in the fingers, two left/right hands, joints that are slightly off where the bones would actually be, an extra finger sticking out of a random place in a sketch because you 'changed the position and forgot to remove the old sketch'. Record a timelapse of you drawing it but put the final image though an i2i generator at like 10% strength so the end product looks like the result of the timelapse but still has that slight ai sheen to it and would probably still trip the retarded detector websites.

If it weren't for how AI images have improved over these past couple of years, I would have suggested SaltyFanta make sure their subject is eating noodles with their hands.

Hear me out, retarded idea. Art account, totally normal, you post actual art that you made yourself with 0% AI and no added fingers or whatever. You just have an art account that's totally normal and AI free and sincere. Aside from everything else you post is AI.

Hey check out this amazing dinner I just ate.
wrgvdgrwwregvd - Copy.PNG

Post shit like this in between the real posts. I mean who the fuck would AI generate images of their dinner right? On one hand people would see shit like that and think it's probably AI, they'd obviously be right but no I don't use AI that's just my new Huawei phone it makes all photos look like this for some reason. Then you see how many people get pissed off and paranoid about your actual art when there is absolutely no evidence at all that you used AI in any way to even assist making them. Basically instead of posting real art and gaslighting them into thinking that it's AI, you post real art and let them gaslight themselves into thinking it's AI.

Fucking starving now after looking at that image wtf
