Trainwreck Alex Dacy / Alex Dzimtowicz / Wheelchair Rapunzel - 50% wholesome disability influencer, 50% that cash me outside girl

No sign of Noah. Ari got held onto Alex's tit for the most intimate bonding moment between mother, daughter and several million strangers on social media. She gets to experience that once and then back to the bottle but never mind whether that is confusing or causes her any distress. Alex got her pics for the gram.

Man, seeing her breastfeed purely for a photo op has bummed me out more than (almost) anything else on this thread.

I don't begrudge her going back on her medication, but just don't fucking bother trying to feed at all if that's the plan. If Alex was off the meds for ~9 months already, I would have expected her to maybe feed for a while, at least. Not as a literal one off for the fucking 'gram.

I don't know how... aware? babies are at that age, but that must confuse some instinct somewhere along the way, right? Poor bub. :(

medically speaking, babies that age do not give a damn. as long as they're getting nourishment they're not really affected by switching from one to the other source.

skin to skin contact is the only thing that might matter, holding the baby close while bottle feeding is just as good.

there may be Woo that says different, I'm sure a dozen crunchy mama types will jump in to say you can't do this or that, but from the medical side, it doesn't matter at all.

Not to be *that* woo mum but there is such thing as nipple confusion with babies switching from the real deal to bottles and back that can cause feeding issues. I doubt one go on the booby as a barely cooked preemie with a feeding tube as backup will cause a problem though as Alex isn't going to breastfeed long term.

It's not really nipple confusion, but laziness. It's way easier for them to feed from a bottle, they have to put in more effort to feed from the breast, so they may end up preferring the bottle.

In defence of Noah we can't see because of the blanket but he may be attempting Kangaroo care.
It makes no sense to pay no attention to technique and form. He probably is, and it's probably good he's trying, but I don't feel particularly charitable after watching him scowl and whine around like a bitter 11 year old girl.

"SOBER AS SHIT!"

The "First Skin to Skin with Daddy" video is giving serious foreboding vibes. Noah looks completely stricken with the realization that he actually has a daughter. He's literally dumbfounded and it looks like he's panting with panic. This is not going to end well. I can only hope that it ends with him just vamoosing and not in some 100% totally-preventable abuse arc.

Thanks for the info. Good to know it's just a shitty person thing to do, and not actively harmful, at least.

A threadpoll on how long Noah's gonna stick around would be pretty good.

Alex posted more pics of Noah to her IG stories. Her bar is truly low for what she considers dad goals.

Alex has also been feelin' herself a lot on IG stories. These are just a few examples of the multiple selfies that she has been posting.
