His response enraged her so much that the next day she filed for custody and a CPO.

Interesting that she didn't do that immediately. It makes me think that she was holding out hope that they would reconcile, despite his behaviour. The threatened tell-all made her realise that he has truly moved on.

Also, abuse victims often think it isn't that bad. He only left her for four or six hours without a phone or any means to look after herself. He didn't actually kick the door down. Maybe she was saying really vile things or threatening to call the police on his drug use, and he made the excuse that SHE trapped HIM. She might have feared retaliation and kept silent for that reason. She might have promised to drop the charges to keep the peace. And maybe he made one too many threats, and the night before, she just told the truth.

She was absolutely in the right to tell the girlfriend. He shouldn't be spending time with any vulnerable people until he's fixed himself. He has poor self-control and a disregard for others' well-being. This is the perfect storm for a woman to be seriously hurt.

I understand loving your son, but the Smiths aren't getting younger. Noah has to change. Noah was willing to give up everything for his impulsivity and addiction. He is lost. Let him go. Forgive yourselves for enabling him. Do better for an innocent child who needs you more and more as days go by. Babies need you for all their basic needs. Children need you for so much more. They need you for their moral, intellectual, and social development. They're Christians. Surely they can appreciate Abraham's willingness to sacrifice their own son for the greater good. I think they should take a note, block his number, and change the keys.

I know this is definitely way too optimistic of me, but I kind of hope that Salina helped open Alex's eyes to the abuse. She's still using Alex and being seriously unprofessional in all kinds of ways, but it's at least more typical of an actual friend to encourage laying down the law on an abuser.

Someone has to advocate for Ari and her mother. Salina might not be perfect, but God bless her for being there for Alex in her hour of need. At the very least, she's a strong woman to not be ran off by this madness. She certainly has gained respect from me.

I am not really that shocked he did all this to Alex and that he's effectively abandoned Ari, but I remain shocked that another woman is letting this stick it in her. I get his new woman appears to be his female counterpart - rich, addicted, and pretty unconcerned about who she hurts - but still! That's exactly what happened, because we know from Alex herself (at least about the first part): Noah threatened to do the tell-all after Alex messaged the new girlfriend. She's been very clearly not moving on, and I guess the new girlfriend and his threat made it all real.

That said, Noah is a complete piece of shit who should not be allowed around Ari or Alex. Alex would probably let him back in her life, as she repeatedly has, so I hope the court orders act as a buffer for that. Noah's parents need to cut this abusive manchild out and focus on their three functional children and on their granddaughter. The new girlfriend looks like a piece of work in her own right, but she should look at all of this and run.

The court documents confirmed all the addresses we already knew (plus apartment numbers for Alex). We didn't have Salina, and she's listed there too.

I really don't condone violence in like 95% of situations, but guys like Noah only understand a really good, solid ass-kicking from a male relative/friend. I've come to accept this as an adult who sees how the world actually works. He has a brother, no? His brother needs to kick his ass.

Edit: ah yeah, Dud put it better than I. I'd hate to have Noah ruin another life. It should be legal to kick your brothers ass if he does something like this.

Just so we're clear, I don't like Alex. She's a POS who makes consistently bad decisions, but she's just the your average dumb party girl who happens to be severely disabled. I wouldn't care about her one way or the other had she not brought a little girl into the world who will suffer immensely from the amount of upheaval in her life.

I don't care for Salina either, I think she's extraordinarily unprofessional at best, she also comes across as another dumb party girl, but the pilot's license thing seems cool.

That being said, Noah needs his ass beat and the fear of God put into him. I'm glad Salina managed to talk some sense into Alex and that Alex felt safe enough with her to press charges against this jackhole.

That said, let's examine how the cycle of abuse is perpetuated, and how people like Alex contribute to that cycle. From the OP:

Alex knowingly rubs shoulders with violent criminals and doesn't care. Noah was not the first and won't be the last:

The main point is that Alex's friend and room mate at college was a serial rapist. Alex refused to believe it and continued the friendship. On the livestream below with their other roommate, while their followers demand to know that they have kicked the rapist out they frankly take the piss, mocking the victims, making light of the situation and generally being arseholes.

So when you don't understand the kind of person Noah's new girlfriend must be, the kind who is told about how horrible of a person Noah is and doesn't care, just know she's the same kind of person that Alex is.

And let's be honest, Alex didn't message his new gf out of genuine concern. It was BPD-destructo-mode motivated to sabotage the relationship. It's also interesting how long it took for her to make that police report vs the date it happened. Mutual abuse is a real thing, especially when both parties are involved with alcohol. Keep that critical eye, frens.

You are correct, and my apologies for not being clear: it was an upskirt of Ari. I guess my mind just rebelled, and I didn't type it out fully.

For those who don't want to view the picture: it was an up-close photo of Ari. There was absolutely no way that Alex could have failed to notice that the photo was an upskirt. It was very in-your-face. It was very gross and very terrible, and Alex herself is a very, very bad person for choosing to post that.
