The whorish purple glitter mascara you see at the dollar store. The dude HAD to be in his fucking 40s if not older. It was like seeing a cartoon character in real life.

It annoys me that they have to insert whatever ideologically approved messaging in no matter how hamfisted or out of place it might be. I don't care about making hobbies or things 'inclusive' or whatever. But I view that as 'don't be a rude or a dipshit to new people. Be welcoming, invite people in and let people try things' not 'kowtow and cater to a group that suddenly demanded special treatment.' I've never had a problem encouraging people to try or check out things I was into regardless of who they were as a person. Some people stuck around, some didn't.

Seeing the level of shit people in various hobbies have to contend with these days just to enjoy something that brings them joy is ridiculous. I'm glad people are starting to put their fucking foot down. Just sucks that it resulted in the salting of the earth of a number of things I used to enjoy.

Just think about how many of them are unaware of the Thin White Duke, the actual story narrative within Metrobolist’s original track order or who the song Quicksand is allegedly about. If I remember correctly, Gencon was the event where, way back in 2018 - Jesus, it's been a while - Jeremy Hambly (The Quartering) was physically attacked by a cross-dressing freakshow. If so, the cognitive dissonance with the anti-bullying signs become even more hilarious and tragic.
